We're already going young in our other units, why not the #2 rb spot?
I'm not saying I would have done it this way. When we signed Woodcockhead I thought that spelled the end of RB here. Then we signed him too, giving us two 3rd down backs. Right now I don't see anyone on the roster better suited to be a relief back for Mathews than Brown. Hopefully, Mathews stays healthy this year.

Since when did Brown become ONLY a 3rd-down back? It's not like the guy (or Woodshed, for that matter) can't carry the ball on 1st-2nd down.

I would say last year when he showed he was pretty good at it and lasted the whole season. I know you don't know shit about age but when you are over 30 and a RB in this league you are considered a short timer. The more you carry the shorter that time becomes.

              Unfortunately, the Chargers are real.

No surprises. Although at the beginning of the offseason I don't think anyone could've predicted so little improvement at OL.
I'm thrilled not to see an undrafted FA on the OL. Progress!

Leander Jordan and Ed Elkis were clearly better than Harris. It didn't make them good.
You're right. But if we had Ellis and Jordan now, we'd be improved over last year. Logic.

Ha! I know plenty about age, young man. Hell...I'm TWO Ronnie Browns.

Brown only has to hold up for backup duties; nobody thinks he's an every down back. If he hits 150 CARRIES (not touches) this season I'd be shocked. But my point is that he's a good BACKUP running back; not just a 3rd-down back. Age notwithstanding.

at your age, I figure you'd know more about 2 Runny Browns than Ronnie

Dude, an honest humble WR? If Meachum is truely this open and critical of himself it sure is refreshing. I hope he rebounds this year.
