I kept coming back to quickly check in on Mako's daughter's progress and then yours as well when you posted about your battle. I would gladly have had the Chargers go 0-16 every year since I first became a fan in '79 if it meant more LIFE wins like this. This is the shit that truly matters. Cheers to U.

It's a new day! After completing my chemo I had surgery last Tuesday, radical cystectomy, they removed my bladder and surrounding lymph nodes to find only two deposits of cancerous cells in my nodes and one in my bladder. Considering how aggressive my cancer was the Dr thinks it's pretty amazing that I am now cancer free!

A big thank you to all of you for all the love and mojo you gave me durring this fight.

Stinky, I don't know about you but when I'm sick (feverish - not cancer) everything slows down for me. It's the one silver lining in an otherwise mass of crap. But since I'm normally exceptionally anxious and panicky (my norm) being sick can be pretty rewarding in that way. I was wondering if going through your bout with cancer - from the initial discovery through the treatment process - had any positives at all for you. Was there anything that you can look back on and be thankful for? I'm not talking about beating cancer. It's more the journey you had in your fight against cancer.

FWIW, I'm currently dealing with a cold and flu. So my thinking is much more slowed down than normal. Which is a real relief for me as I said before. I just wish I could figure out a way to be this calm when I'm not sick.
