And I thought this thread was about our old friend Viejo Bolt (or VB). Mix in a little Mad Dog and we got a conversation!

No worries Fleet. I was going to do a jersey give away to start this season so I will just do this. Now if we can just bring back RC & Powerslave this place would truly rock. The RC & Tucker duels were something else back in the day.

In the interest of full disclosure, 'Tucker' was a board name I chose when I wanted to distance myself, for a while, from 'QSmokey'. It didn't work, as several posters recognized my prickly writing style and exposed me after a few hundred posts. Tucker is effectively dead and buried so I'm riding and dying (mostly dying) with my original handle.

My tech is suggesting we wait a little bit. He doesnt even have it installed on his forum yet. And he is actually one of the original VB developers. His name is listed right there in the credits. Glenn Vergara. lol. So when one of the developers says wait for the bugs to get ironed out...i will listen. So this isnt happening right this second.

I have used 180 of the funds from Rugger to buy the license however. So the first step is done. Now we wait for user feedback. When Glenn feels his mods will work on V6 and we can see what issues are arising for V6 new users...we will install it.

Rugger stepped up and went all in with it guys. So we dont need the money. lol Thanks Rugger brother....you and Rolling Thunder have never shy'd away from sharing your blessings with us. Huge help.

Go into the season with a new software. Looks a little different as well i think. We might change slightly cosmetically. And i will have to tweak all sorts of stuff to make any customizations we have work with VB6.

Could be a rocky start...but im willing to lead us into battle if you guys want to do this now. Just speak up on it.

Still on hold with this guys. My tech is rebuilding some of his custom add ons so they work on the new V6 platform. They are all built on the V5 platform. Ill keep TPB posted when this will happen.

This wont be just a simple update with a few minutes of downtime. The theme wont transfer and i think we will have to rebuild the look. So it could look a little off. I know most hate change etc...

But we do what we gotta do.

Ok looks like testing of V6 isnt going to produce to many issue for our customizations. So this has been cleared for install by my tech. Ill post the expected time we are going to do this soon. I want this done and rough edges smoothed over before our game.
