    14-15 NBA Thread

For other followers of the League.

The Lakers thread is for the Lakers... this thread is for general NBA interest for this season.

Season kicks off tonight. Can't remember ever being this interested in an NBA season when the Lakers were going to be bad.

The Cavs will definately be interesting.

The "new look" Bulls will be interesting with Rose back, and Pau on the team.

Of course, the Spurs are the Spurs and they will continue to be great.

OKC is without Durant to start the season.

I'm excited to watch the T-Wolves this year. Wiggins/LaVine with Rubio throwing them the ball. They could be fun.

The Sixers could be the worst team in NBA history. Seriously, look at their roster. http://www.nba.com/sixers/roster

The Pellicans probably won't be great, but Anthony Davis is amazing to watch, and probably my favorite player not on the Lakers.

What will the "new look" Heat do? I actually don't think they'll be that bad? But maybe I'm crazy.

New Coaches! Steve Kerr with the Warriors, Derek Fisher with the Knicks, Jason Kidd with the Bucks, B Scott with the Lakers, are all interesting stories.

    Anthony Davis is a MAN!

First game stats: 26 points, 17 Rebounds, 9 Blocks, 3 steals, and 2 assists.

The future is now. Good Lord, this is little he can't do. His jump shot is much improved too.

        This is not surprising.

Also, how funny is it that Cleveland loses their first home game as the new "superteam"?

And the cherry on top was that it was to the Knicks, who looked horrible in their first outing.

I think its going to take a while for the Cavs to learn to play together. Especially since the y have some guys that arent know to be the best defenders.

Our Jazz have a new coach and new up-tempo style with some promising young players. Not ready to contend for a playoff bid yet but this could be the season that gets them headed back in that direction. Watch Derrick Favors blossom this season...the new style seems to really fit his game.

Watched some of the Jazz/Clips last night.

I actually thought Kanter looked better than Favors in my limited viewing time.

                I love the Burke/Burks backcourt.

Wouldn't you know it after touting Favors, he goes and has a terrible game last night! His inefficiency probably cost them that game and so it goes with young players in the NBA. Yeah the Burke/Burks backcourt has potential for sure and now you add the young Exum into the mix there and it can be a pretty good rotation with a bit of time. Like I said, not a playoff team this season but with some experience, the pieces may be in place to compete for a spot in the next year or so.

Warriors look really good to start the season. They look better than last season. I think coaching has made a huge difference.

Warriors are the most fun team to watch, imo. Biggest concern for them is health.

                        Warriors are definately very good.

The Health of Bogut is a huge question mark for them. If he can stay healthy, they could be the team to beat.

Kind of surprised by Cleveland's struggles early on, but I guess I shouldn't be.

Toronto looks really good too, and that shouldn't be a surprise...that's a nice team. And pleasantly surprised with Milwaukee.

The Kings have played well early, but I'd be surprised if that kept up. Boogie is a beast, though.
