No sarcasm at all. I think everyone should watch at least a dozen reality programs per week. Mainly shows on Discovery, TLC, HGTV, Weather and Travel Channel

IF you're being serious, what do you like on reality tv exactly so i can begin to judge you? unless you're counting bourdain and that bald goof on strange foods, i don't see anything redeeming or worthwhile on that you'd put in that genre. of course i don't even have tv, so what do i know?

Burn Notice is always a lot of fun. Big Bruce Campbell fan.

I used to watch that religiously, but grew weary of the whole "burn" stuff. I just dug Michael, Sam, and Fiona helping people out with their spy backgrounds. The whole who burned him, need to find out why, etc. shit just got old and it added nothing to the the episodes.

But I do think Bourdain, Fast and Loud, Pawn Stars, Duck Dynasty, Top Chef, Project Runway, Chopped...etc. Are all well made, well shot, produced and edited reality programs

don't know what fast and loud is, pawn stars, duck dynasty, etc. i think are pretty garbage. the cooking type stuff, has some value and merit. i will concede that for sure. questionable if it's reality or more docugameshowy. an aspect of it is "real" of course, but it's not let's follow these goofy fucks around with a camera and get into some fabricated situations for drama, and glorify some wretched vapid idiots and use their behavior as a model for developing humans to shape themselves after. or as someone to collectively look at and scoff at and who's the butt of a joke we all think we're better then, etc.

I worked quite a few docugameshowy shows. I'd consider that less real than most reality TV. Especially since they are put in fabricated situations and each character has a 'personality'(the welfare mom looking to better her life, the guy that needs to prove the haters wrong, the person that needs to save their business the villain who will stab anyone in the back, the guy that drinks too much, the princess that doesn't want to break a nail) much of that is made in the edit room.

Fast n Loud is a car makeover show but the production value is far better than most. Pawn Stars is great because o it's simplicity and Duck Dynasty brought a more 'produced' version of reality.

Check out Worlds Worst Tenants sometime. A fully scripted show made to look like reality.

i don't consider the docugameshowy shows anything that's fabricated. i was using that term for things like the cooking competitions you mentioned. also the travel shows i wouldn't lump into reality tv. the fake drama and fake setup situations are all that i abhor in this entire genre of "reality" television. making over cars sounds similar to the cooking shows unless it has an aspect of the interpersonal dramas(often played up for better viewing, sometimes being completely staged) going on with the cast. pawn stars is completely uninteresting to me and have heard charges of it being faked quite often. but it's like, when's the next show coming out about the exciting life behind the scenes in a check cashing place? oh brother. them and pawn shops are good indicators that you're in the wrong neighborhood...
