Nope...Kids these days pick up players they love and gravitate to them and thier teams. Different generation completly. Hre and now, give me a damn winner!

However, I rasied my kids to love everything San Diego good/bad or otherwise and to screw anything East Coast, LA or Denver, w/hate emphasis on the Yankess, Anything Boston, Broncos, Mark Sanchez or Manning related.

Announcers keep talking about the volunteer umps... Time to start paying this umps. Not even taking into consideration the two overturns at home plate. The home plate UMP has a huge strike zone in the Czech Republic-Canada game. He loves to ring people up on the 3rd strike and I hate to see that.

The Czech Republic has a lot of nqseball swagger for a team that doesn't or isn't exposed to as much baseball as those of us in the west.

These kids are looking really good right now. I think they have a great shot to win the whole thing.

I did see one kid said Tony Gwynn was his favorite....

I was looking at the bracket too, it looks like if you advance through the winners bracket that the us championship is single elimination. Am I wrong on that? Seems lame, loser should have to beat them twice to advance.

Double Elim until the final (Kinda like all youth baseball tournies )... If you watch, plenty of kids like out of region players/teams.... Again, its the generation.

I haven't really seen that before in youth tournaments....seems unfair to me. My Nephew from Kauai was in a regional Pony 13 tournament one step from the Pony World Series, they won there first 2 games and were one away from the Championship. They Lost and then played one game in the loser bracket and lost. The team from the losers bracket had lost their first game and then beat the team from the winner bracket twice in a row to win the tournament. The softball All star tournaments I been to have been the same way. I thinks that's lame, your reward for coming out of the winners bracket is that you can be the only team eliminated by a single loss?
