More comments about the defensive coaching?

I can't see the game, but I'm assuming we're talking about the same coordinator and mostly the same players as last year on defense. Telesco hasn't done a good job with the defense. Verrett is good when he plays. Everybody else on that defense who was on our team last year, other than maybe Perryman, is scrubby. And even that is questionable - he hasn't played much.

I hope Bosa and our new nose tackle save the day.

If we're going to win, it's going to take an improved offensive line. Give Rivers time on a consistent basis, and we'll be dominating time of possession and scoring a lot of points.

Our defense has shitty players, but, except for the first half of last season, Pagano's D generally gives us some sort of shot of winning. And that's saying a lot considering the players he's had to work with.

I'm still predicting Super Bowl championship.

We've got shitty players because they just don't develop properly. That points to coaching as well, it's not just lack of talent.

There are obvious symptoms here that we can't develop players on that side of the ball. Talent can only take you so far.

That being said, pagano is nowhere near as bad as Reich was. That guy was literally one of the worst coaches I have seen around the chargers in the last 30 years.

McCoy needs to make a change at DC. Pagano won't survive MCoys firing anyway. The coaching staff, as in the head coach, needs to show that mediocrity won't be accepted. I just don't see anyone in the wings or out there to replace him going in to week 1.
