In regards to Slater vs Darrisaw, I’d probably vote for Slater, but there’s a case to be made that while Slater is a great prospect, Darrisaw is actually the better bet to stick at LT. So then the question is, would you rather have a really good LT or a great OG? I’ll happily sign onto either scenario as the outcome of our first round pick.

Would you prefer Andrew Whitworth or Quentin Nelson? I favor the better player. When you have a shot at great, take it.

I’d definitely rather have a great OG who can also play OT at a really high level.

Darrisaw is likely gonna go in the top 20. There is positive momentum for him at this point that he won’t slip far. Also, with someone like Basham seeing his stock rise, that’s good for Darrisaw as he basically shut down Basham. Maybe if this was last year where there were so many elite tackle prospects, but there are too many people rating him as the 2nd or 3rd best tackle prospect. Remember, it only takes one team to like him and take him. If that’s who we end up with at 13, I’ll be satisfied.

2:50 was really a very poor effort by Darrisaw. He just stood there. IDK, tape ive seen he just isnt active enough for me compared to other OL. Compared to Meinerz, Darisaw is a statue.

Was Robert Hainsey still available when you took Banks? Hainsey’s listed as an OT on PFN but will be an OG in the NFL. Played OG all week at the Senior Bowl and proved to be the better Notre Dame IOL.

I missed it, but supposedly he was taking snaps at center? And looked good? Interesting mid to late rounder...depending on how much house cleaning we do with that line....

He was but Banks had better reports from multiple sources of the two and was ranked almost 2 rounds higher than Hainsey (129 to 173) on PFN. He is also ahead of him on TDN by a round. One called Banks(THR) a plug in 10 year starter at OG. Sounds like a good get in round 4. I just went with the better scouting reports since ive got limited looks myself.

Senior bowl can be misleading somtimes.

I agree. I have three OT's above him - Sewell, Slater and Vera-Tucker.
