If the pick becomes a good player - nobody will remember if he was overdrafted at 13
If he is a quality starting OLT then he wasn’t over drafted but ranked poorly by pundits.
Team boards look far different than a Kiper, McShay, D. Jeremiah, L. Zeirlin, etc.

Thats what I am saying. Just because mock draft people might not have say Cosmi at 13 - -doesn't mean its a bad pick. I think without the combine, going just on tape - the real draft could be very different from mock drafts.

Especially with the draft post free-agency - have no clue how teams will change.

        Indeed.
The draft is always much different than pundits predict.
Again team boards look much different than pundits.
If the pundits were great at it they would get hired by a team for his expertise.

My favorite saying of Mel Kiper is : " Who the hell is Mel Kiper" when a GM was told Kiper didnt like his pick lol.

          This is good stuff lol

Second video starts about the Colts GM at about 15 or so seconds

I just looked at Jeremiah's latest draft. The picks before the Chargers. In a debate of need v BPA - he seemed to mix in need as much as BPA

Jets taking Wilson - that seems like he has them taking the QB to fill a need over say taking Sewell to protect Darnold or getting a WR like Chase

Cowboys and Broncos - he gave them the CBs to fill need - though they might also be BPA

So it won't just be the Chargers that might skirt the line of need/bpa - its other teams too. A team like the Falcons - they probably need to think about QB and will they have another chance at the 4th pick and a top flight QB.

I think this year there will be a big disconnect with the real draft that takes place. I mean, I like Jeremiah but him giving the Chargers Waddle makes no sense unless they do not bring back MW81. Thats too much investment for WR and not enough for OL for instance.

It will be a wild off season.
              Nobody knows.
              UFAs too.
I think, as good a job as OTC/Spotrac do, we are all way off.
              Gut feeling.
              Common sense.
We do not play modern football.

If we are picking Waddle, the draft will have gone poorly, indeed, for the Bolts....but a dynamic playmaker like Waddle would be a decent consolation prize.
                  Adopted Bolt: Kimani Vidal RB

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

Yep...normally I hold Jeremiah's takes in high regard, but Waddle to the Bolts @#13 is kind of a head-scratcher...even if we lose Mike Will, we still have KA, Guyton and Johnson...not a bad group at all...and either Hill or Reed probably emerges as a decent #4...WR just not a real PON...I would prefer we go OT @#13, but if we don't, at LEAST go D-line or CB...and there should be plenty of great choices at those positions...

Yep. Well, looks like Johnson is faster than Waddle, and Guyton just a shade "slower" since Waddle has been clocked at 4.37:

Then id say we DO have WRs with pure speed like Waddle.

                          Pass on Waddle
