Quentin Meinerz has a great senior bowl week, turns in a killer workout at his pro day, with great guard measurements, and athletic testing with an RAS of 9.98...creates a bunch of buzz, and is now considered by many to be a day 2 pick....when before he was virtually unknown. Few prospects can hope to raise their stock that high that quickly. He nailed the process.

One thing though....because of his broken hand, he couldn't Bench. So, just a couple of weeks ago, he gets cleared to lift, and what does he do? Does he rest on his laurels, and ride the hype safely to a pay day? Nope...Tells the scouts and GMs to come on out and watch him lift...after being unable to train in bench for a couple of months, he is rearing to go just a few weeks after being cleared.

That's a competitor, folks...that's a guy I want on this team. MF ain't scared...

If you are wondering, I don't know the exact date, or what teams are attending, they just said on GMFB that it's in a couple of days.

While I do like him as a prospect, he attended Wisconson Pinecone U so I expect him and any of his ilk to generate as much self buzz as possible. Cleared to bench, he benches for the sole reason that very important people are paying attention.

Really like Doyle, Forsythe...Young.....and Himmelman, for kicks....always like to see a Redbird get a shot at the pros...

Double dipping at OT would be great...starter early, and a day 3 pick to put Pipkens on notice.

DJ did a "Chargers on the clock" mock...Waddle, Mayfield, Little, St.-Juste...

I don't get why Mayfield is still up there on a lot of boards...the tape is just "ok", he is a poor athlete, testing wise, and not ideal measurements with 32 5/8" arms...I see OG, right? I mean, I'm not a hardliner, like some, with the 34" arms or bust for OTs...but I do think 33" at least, for exceptions...

Kid should have stayed in school...better tape, work on his athleticism, hell, maybe he even grows a little bit, gets a tad more length...laugh all you want, some of these big kids keep growing into their early 20's...

Overall, not very interested in Mayfield as is...

The Sammy Small School background still scares me off a bit. After getting burned by a Sammie like Pip, even though Meinerz looks promising, I wouldn't want to take him any higher than round 4...I want to see a large body of work vs. quality competition...
