There is noise that Max is exactly our guy at ORT. It is suggested that we want an athletic type of offensive tackle over there.
I also wonder about Braxton Jones of Southern Utah. The question is how late in the draft can we get our guy ?
I still need to watch tape on Jones, but I’m sold on Mitchell. If his arms are 33”+ (and they look it) then he’s a future NFL starter at RT. His footwork, hands, and accuracy are ridiculous.

I definitely like what I saw.
Great feet--active hands.
So far, I'm not nearly as impressed with this year's tackles as I was with last year's tackles. So far, I see 2 guys I like (Neal and Cross). Gets kinda iffy after that...

Here’s some tape to get fired up about the other guys:
Faalele vs Karlaftis
Petite-Frere vs Mafe & Otomewu
Mitchell vs Texas
Penning vs Iowa St.
The top 6 are:
Neal
Cross
Petite-Frere
Penning
Faalele
Mitchell
I believe those guys can start immediately. There might be a drop-off after that.
I. Ekwonu - NCST
M. Cunningham - UAR
O. Eze - TCU/MEM
C. Warren - PITT
A. Lucas - WSU
are day 1/2 prospects that have immediate starting caliber traits/skillsets @OT.
K. Green - TAMU is an absolutely athletic freak and in limited snaps looked great @OLT.
R. Walker - PSU is raw but definitely has the traits and skillset to be another early career starter @OT.

I keep going back and forth on whether Ekwonu is a NFL OT. To me he looks like a more powerful AVT. Probably depends on arm length. AVT had sub 33” arms. Ekwonu’s might be 34”+.

Got any full games...? All I saw was Ohio State vs Penn State.
Not a good game for Petite-Frere
Saw a full game of Purdue vs Oregon State.
Karlaftis looked up and down. Beat some slow OT's but then got stymied by a TE 1-on1 several times.
Watched several Minnesota games last year. Faalele has some slow feet and gets beat inside... poor balance.
Penning... only high lights...
Haven't looked at Mitchell.

I need some red meat.
I guess you can only comment on what you’ve seen.
I’ve got YouTube.tv. It’s set it to record all games. There’s no limit. Every college and NFL game on tv is recorded in full. Much better than cable or dish. Keeps everything for a year, so I can keep watching tape until draft day.
Re: Karlaftis, he’s the kind of player that doesn’t light up the stat sheet, but his play constantly influences the game more than just about any defensive player I’ve seen. Watched 5 Purdue games this year but not the Oregon State game. I’ll check it out.

That is the best blocking TE in college football Teagan Quitariano.
Karlaftis is the real deal though.
Penning is a monster. He needs more reps against quality opposition but the tenacity and skillset are there. I still want to see him at the SeniorBowl but impressive dude.
Get an idea of his opportunities and strengths.
