There is some kind of technical issue going on.
Imagine a picture of Honest Abe Lincoln next to Lucas...about the same equivolent height.
We do not play modern football.

Actually, i wasn't impressed with the highlights until the 4:45 mark: some impressive runs against Miami and Notre Dame. I like seeing guys his size run past safeties who have the angle. He seemed to gather himself a bit when planting his left foot and cutting right on sweeps....but that feeling dissipated somewhat watching him further.

He's listed at 210 pounds on some sites.

I'd have to see more of him trying to grind out 2 - 4 yard gains in tight spaces. Right now, I think he would be good value in the 5th round.
          Chargers need a 2nd rb.
Love this kid. Good call. He's got an acceleration/burst/restart in the hole, when he picks his lane, that reminds me of Walter Payton in his prime, and Sweetness was 5'10" + 200lbs.

Con: His ball security. Infinitely coach-able. I think I would take him over James Cook/Georgia RB in the 5th. That would be a tough call to make, but love for the team to be in that position.

I was thinking the same thing. But non of the draft analyst have him in the top 50 for some reason. I think if he’s there in the 2nd, you have to pull the trigger.

I’m still at either Travon Walker or Jermaine Johnson in the 1st. If you can get in the first 3 rounds, massive success.

            1st- OLB/DE Jermaine Johnson
            2nd- RT Abe Lucas
            3rd- DT Travis Jones

Third round guy for a team that needs a pass rush specialist. His glaring weakness is against the run. He gets blocked off the screen.

Do the Chargers even consider drafting a front 7 player with that weakness?

              I wouldn’t.
Our quarterback is a golden god.

Just did a check on Tackles chosen in the 2nd round, going before #48 in the last few drafts

2017: zero Tackles in top half of 1rst / 2 Tackles in bottom half of 1rst / 1 Tackle in top half of 2nd 3 gone (next: Dion Dawkins - #63)
2018: two Tackles in top half of 1rst / 1 Tackle (Isaiah Wynn actually makes it zero) in bottom half of 1rst / 0 Tackles in top half of 2nd 3 gone (next: Brian O'Neil - #62)
2019: zero Tackles in top half of 1rst / 3 Tackles in bottom half of 1rst / 4 Tackles in top half of 2nd (Dalton Riser actually makes it 3) 7 gone (next: Max Sharping - # 55)
2020: four Tackles in top half of 1rst/ 2 Tackles in bottom half of 1rst / 0 Tackles in top half of 2nd 6 gone (next: Ezra Cleveland - #58)
2021: two Tackles in top half of 1rst/ 2 Tackles in bottom half of 1rst / 4 Tackles in top half of 2nd 8 gone (next: Sam Cosmi - # 51)

2022: Neal, Ekwonu, Cross in top half of 1rst/ Raimann?, Penning? in bottom half of first / Kinnard, Faalele, Lucas, .... that makes 8

                * three tackles in top of round 1 this year is good.

                  39. Chicago, 40. Denver, 41. Seattle, 42. Washington, 43. Atlanta, 45. Baltimore, 46. Minnesota, 47. Indy

Lots of Tackle hungry teams sitting in front of them.

Kinnard top half of third, Faalele day 3.

If Penning goes in the 2nd, that would be very helpful.
No one is saying Abraham is a LT candidate in the NFL....that is helpful.

Left tackles rise, Right tackles don't.

Most of the tackles drafted early are LT prospects, and the 2nd round guys - Penning/Faalele/Kinnard/Abraham - are all RTs.
That is helpful....it will be a crowded group to winnow out.

I think you are right beachcomber: Abraham will probably be available.

We need a situational pass rusher. Boye was all over the field during the Senior Bowl.

3 LTs in the 1st 5 picks. That’s demand at a scarce position. Throw in 2 ED in the top 5 also. There’s where a major part of the game is played.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
