With as deep as this draft is with some positions of need. I don’t see them really trading and of their picks away to build depth. I am hoping for Abe Lucas and Cade Mays as far as Oline and a few DBs.

I think they’re all gone by pick 50.
      I think Wyatt goes first.

I haven't seen enough of Travis Jones though to comment.
What little i've seen gives me the impression that he has room to improve in generating pressure.

Top level run stuffers from Alabama go in the 2nd - but from Uconn?

Nnadi went in round 3: everyone here loved the guy.

Why draft Penning in the 1rst, when you likely can get Lucas in the 2nd?

Ty Chandler UNC RB 6' 205lbs.

Chandler has Speed and can run between the tackles. Another gear after he hits the hole entirely. He further demonstrated that, with vision and rare balance, in the East-West game.

1,300 yards and 14 total TDs.

Hands: Catch at 2:30 and 6:26.

I'd rank him a few bits below Michael Carter from last year, who had a decent start with the Pets....i use Michael Carter as a drafting reference - he went early 4rth round.
Actually, i wasn't impressed with the highlights until the 4:45 mark: some impressive runs against Miami and Notre Dame. I like seeing guys his size run past safeties who have the angle. He seemed to gather himself a bit when planting his left foot and cutting right on sweeps....but that feeling dissipated somewhat watching him further.

He's listed at 210 pounds on some sites.

I'd have to see more of him trying to grind out 2 - 4 yard gains in tight spaces. Right now, I think he would be good value in the 5th round.
              Chargers need a 2nd rb.

Yeah, exactly. I didn't watch the whole Senior Bowl... just highlights. But from what I saw, Lucas looked solid. Faalele looked slow and off-balanced during the game... missing with hand placement. Again, I didn't watch the whole game.

I saw that someone gave CB McCreary kudos for his game.

CB in the 1st and RT in the 2nd. Two biggest needs. And the talent lines up with the slots.
                From there, find quality depth.

Clue # 1: how often do you see Abe on the ground ?

                  Never.
We do not play modern football.

Staying on your feet certainly helps you run an outside zone blocking scheme. Probably helps you climb to LB's and safeties as well.
Sliding well laterally also helps you pass block... in case you have a QB worth protecting.

Honestly, Abe may not even be available mid-way through the 2nd round.
