OK, onto Day Two. IMO, Friday is going to be one of the most pivotal draft days in team history and in Telesco's career. Herbert was a no-brainer pick last year and Slater was a no-brainer at No. 13 today. The decisions he makes tomorrow are not going to be as clear-cut. The Chargers have a lot of the pieces in place to ascend to Super Bowl quality. IMO, the players Telesco chooses tomorrow to fill out the roster and patch roster holes will be key in determining whether this team goes into the 2021 season with enough roster depth to get over the hump.

We still have gaping holes at CB and DE, ...... and also we need a big, durable back with power, and a solid every down TE, and an all round safety to start or be the number one backup or player in 3 safety schemes......

Not to be the pessimist here, but what over Telesco's time makes you think all of a sudden he breaks from the past and corrects it tomorrow? I don't see it. The roster has holes from years of poor planning and poor drafts. Tomorrow will be more of the same, sadly. I just get the impression this time and far as evaluation and analytics is about 6 steps behind everyone else. I think what we need to hope for is that no matter who is drafted, Staley and his staff can coach them up and maximize their potential. That is the hope, because I see nothing, even last draft, that suggests Telesco will improve his drafting and valuing of players.
