That appears to be a solid list of football players. But as we saw from yesterday, maybe not what our new staff likes?

I think round 4 has to be IOL -- they do not have any real depth at OG.

Popper in his late round chat is killing Telesco for not drafting OL in Round 3 - and I am here for it.
He didn't dislike the McKitty pick - as they needed a blocking TE. But WR has a bit more depth especially when you consider Reed and Hill from last year

Oh well - lets see what Tom Telesco can do today. 3 picks in the first 80 picks today---I am hoping for

When Aaron Banks went earlier than expected in the 2nd, and Robert Hainsey went right before their 3rd round pick .....Telesco's spirit was broken as far as Oline.

Perhaps this coaching staff isn't really big on Reed and Hill skill set fit with what they're trying to do on offense. That is what happens when you change coaching staffs and systems.
MW, johnson and guyton are all potential free agents at the end of the year. We had no receiver on our roster capable of replacing Mike Williams skill set in case of injury or not resigning.

This is good to know as they have 5 picks and I hope all five are the positions above in some way shape or form as I think he reached in Round 3 but his track record in Round 3 sucks so whats new with Tommy Telesco., Rounds 1 and 2 were easy - Slater fell to him and he filled a need. Samuel also was a need.

I think Tommy overthought himself yesterday in Round 3. Too much potential - I think one of those two picks needed to be "lower ceiling, higher floor, less bust" potential.

Yep...hope I'm wrong, but TT's day 2 picks look a lot like past 3rd rounders like Pip, Tuerk and Mager...

I think we will address both today but if we don’t both positions have Vet FA sitting at home right now.

One thing I have in my head from a previous Staley interview is something like ....
- We want to dictate to a defense by personnel groupings, formation, and motion.
This, to me, is the reasoning behind round 3 as well as looking a year ahead.
Anyone else remember this?

Right...Staley was talking about creating matchup issues for the opposing team...

Agree...one or both of Reed and Hill could end up getting cut at or before the final 53...

One of those two will be gone unless they truly become special teams standouts to add to the skillset.

Yeah, agree. Just wanted to group players from perceived PON that we haven’t dipped yet. Lots of hoot CBs and OTs still on the board.

Totally have my heart set on Avery Williams at some point today.

Agree. But I’m starting to like the McKitty pick more and more. His FSU highlight tape is sick, and while he might not be as good a blocker as Tremble, he’s a pretty darn good. Plus he’s bigger, taller, longer, bigger hands and a better receiver.

I remember being really impressed with his play at the Senior Bowl. If he’d been used at UGA like he was at FSU, not sure he wouldn’t have been up there with Freiermuth in terms of ratings.

McKitty will be solid, productive, and consistent in both phases.

I think the team is high on the potential of Parham as a receiving weapon.
