Guess I’m joining the church of Zion.
Sound like you're part of the Zion resistance.

      Question is Zion or Green?

like Zion more but went Green

Zion more likely to be off the board

Green more likely to kick outside

      Wasn’t projecting Fieler to RT

But fine if that’s what’s determined

Wanted a bad ass mover not a mirror

Both players have pro-bowl written all over

I was just going to post something similar.
If Cross is there at 17, it's a no brainer.
BUT......should we trade back and both Green and Zion are available, who's the guy?
I'd still prefer McDuffie, Lloyd, or Dean( or even Dax Hill) but I'd be okay with one of the G's as well.

          What happened to BPA?

Where is Zion rated higher than Penning?
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
          The Wasted Decade is done.

I prefer Zion to Green. Both are gonna be very good once they decide what position they will play at the next level, I just think Zion's ceiling is a bit higher.

And did not want Nutty to think he is underrated, as he puts in work on the draft.

I like, for example Nico McBrain to Gavin Harrison.
The Wu-Master has the instincts and the knowledge that are rare.
Maybe he visited the band's website and researched our influences... or maybe he has a musicians ear... but he nailed The Band.

                Swampy-Bluegrass is a thing.
The Swampers are both under-rated and foundational.
Growing up in Julian, Nutty listened to a lot of folk and bluegrass...

Working on The Dixie Chicks "Sin Wagon" for another project this afternoon... then off to practice with the band later this evening.

                Wu-dai is a unicorn.

I haven't studied them in depth.
From what i've seen, I'd prefer Zion Johnson - i think he's the safer choice because he's smarter.
                  Green is position flexible in college which also says something about his smarts;
however, when i watched him at LG, he failed to recognize stunts a few times
                  - maybe it has to do with being moved around every few weeks to a new position

Here is someone who likes him at draft.buzz commenting on his still developing skills in pass pro:
                  • A brilliant run blocker but has a limited skill set as a pass blocker and is relatively underdeveloped in this area
                  • Has an issue with balance will over lean into an oncoming rusher
                  • Didn't dominate statistically at college - allowed a total of 48 pressures in three years, which is good - but not great
                  • Attacks when necessary, though he won't consistently dominate and can lose balance overextending.
                  • Does not have the ideal arm length to be a top-level left tackle - best suited inside
                  • Needs to work on his technique in pass protection, using more consistent leverage and continuing to move his feet.
                  • Stops his feet after initial contact, relying on length but allowing the defender to get the corner or spin inside.
                  • Underwhelmed in athletic testing at the Combine - with 5.24 40, only 20 reps on the bench and a 102 broad jump
Zion Johnson didn't impress getting rag dolled by Travis Jones in pass pro in one on one simulations- so there is that to consider.
                  Maybe that is unfair.

                      T. Will, as the 3rd receiver opposite Allen/Williams, really opened up the offense with those short crossers and deep posts....something that will be taken to a hole new level by J. Will.

I want the Chargers to pick Jameson Williams, then momentarily confuse the commissioner, stepping up to the podium again and selecting Zion Johnson.
Is there something in the rules that will permit this? :dunno:

First I apologize for being glib. The Band was an important band in early Rock and I 100% know who they are. I was just jesting that despite several important songs and the many 70s artists who were inspired by them - the common person on the street has zero idea who they were, that such a named band ever existed, or what songs were theirs. No offense to Band fans anywhere, it was just a joke and this sad fate of history is certainly not my fault. I was just a kid, i tell ya!

They were not appreciated in the way of Zep, Rush or Genesis (or post-Gen Phil himself)
