I'd like them to resign Schofield, and probably Aboushi.

If Charlie Cross drops to #17, i can live with Schofield/Jaimes at RG.
Offensive line rebuild will be complete in my eyes.

Someone like brandon cooks in free agency to replace Guyton, and everything else is pretty much defense.

Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Why keep Guyton? And i'm not talking out of any animus for Chaincrusher's pet (well, maybe a little).

Chargers can do better than Guyton.

Guyton is an excellent deep ball receiver. Herbie has a connection with him deep. And he has the speed we need.

He really improved his catch rate % this past season.

Plus Guyton is going to be pretty cheap and he probably improves next year. He is an ERFA or something - very much worth keeping.

You need those guys to balance out the roster. Plus how much would you truly save by not bringing in Guyton but signing somebody else. Its not much

As an ERFA his salary/Cap hit are only about $900K.

Agree. He has improved this season. I guess the question is if someone can step up and better the position, but probably not currently a Charger.

Guyton also knows the offense, and has improved. I think he is a keeper for sure. Maybe just one more year and 2023 he might price himself out of the market but to me, he seems like a guy you want to keep as he did improve and was a deep ball threat for Herbert.

And as Ninja points out above, for $900k - that truly is a no-brainer. I was thinking his salary might be $2m and for me, that was even a solid value.

If he was an excellent deep ball receiver...then i'd be fine with him.. As far as primarily deep receivers, he's subpar.....but he doesn't cost much.
He doesn't track balls well, he'll never high point anything, he's a body catcher with shaky hands...so he needs to have two steps or so on anyone,
and yet he doesn't have elite speed (he's a mid 4.45 guy). He'll never get open deep off of a double move, he needs to blow by people..
His acceleration is subpar for a speed receiver, and that's why you get nothing with him off of drag routes after the catch, like you did with Tyrell Williams,
or on reverses for that matter.

He does know the offense and improved from last year on his short to intermediate routes.

Cooks needs to be a free agent first. Still has one year left in Houston.
