Enamored with him, but don't want to reach. Chargers could trade down, add extra 2nd then select RT (Kinnard) of the future. He could go ahead of Penning when all said and done. He has much better balance, bend and change of direction, plenty strong and long. In short, he should fit in the first round, just not #17.

he's a mammoth RG/RT, who tops out @359, bottom figure @324, and generally is listed @345.... his compare is Brandon Scherff, and peoples are calling him a day one s******** w/plenty of upside.
is there a question as to whether he fits our scheme ??
I personally like Kinnard as more of a G moving forward. But as of now my first 2 choices in the 1st are either
OLB/DE Jermaine Johnson
OLB/DE Travon Walker
they are both relentless high motor guy and hard workers.
1st- OLB/DE Jermaine Johnson
2nd- ILB Chad Muma
3rd - DT John Ridgeway
4th- OT/G Cade Mays
5th- RB Kennedy Brooks
6th- CB Vincent Gray
6th- S Bryan Cook
7th- OT/G Blaise Andries
7th- CB Jermaine Waller
7th- WR Tanner Conner

do like Johnson, albeit not sure he's a 17 overall, albeit again wouldn't be disappointed w/the either of him nor Zion Johnson that early.LB CJ Allen, LT Caleb Lomu, OC Parker Brailsford, RB Demond Claiborne, TE Justin Joly, NT Dontay Corleone, OC Bryce Foster, CB Josh Moten, LB Eric Gentry

agree, as not sure he's not the better get over Penning, albeit would prolly stay away from the both of 'em, as am not positiion specific, and def think Zion Johnson makes our Oline the better than w/the either of the aforementioned, as again.... am not against sliding Feiler over to RT, where his PFF is just as good as @guard.Originally posted by TexanBeerlover View Post

as mentioned before, am def in the Garrett Wilson camp @17, and if I get out the fine toothed comb, there are some hair splitting reasons why:
WR Garrett Wilson * think the biggest knock against him is that he is slight of frame and could be more susceptible to injury in the NFL ?? not overly familiar w/his injury history in college, and looking @the bigger MW, obviously size is no guarantee for sustained health/availability in the League.
WR Jameson Williams * consensus now is that an ACL tear isn't what it use to be, and.... he will be coming off injury, and.... def think I'd take the chance if Wilson is off the board, as not sure there is anyone that would open up our cannon @QB, like Jameson would.... it's Chargers football, and dude will be bringing it.
LB Nakobe Dean * not only is he a tad undersized, but he worked behind that Georgia defensive line, and Jordan Davis in particular.... how would he fare behind Tillery and some of our backups ??
CB Derek Stingley * not sold on his mindset, as wouldn't call him soft, but there is a lack of investment or the like to some degree, @least as some would lead you to believe, and.... sometimes a lack of vigilance/spatial awareness or the like, can lead to injuries, of which he's had several....
NT Jordan Davis * great player, and do think you grade the man in the middle by his overall defense, and he def checks that box, and.... just not feeling it re: his intangibles.
so, come end of the day/story, am looking for someone that sets the tone in the lockerroom and on the team, and really like the vibe that Wilson comes across with.... he's just a natural, and like Jerry West was called the Logo, can see Wilson have a lasting image/silhouette from his time in the league, similar to Cromartie's Peyton pick, MJ and others, who've been a bit transcendent w/their style of play.
ps. do think the latter two will be off the board, and that it could perhaps come down to WR or LB.... def of intrigue as to which way team Tommy John feels best bolsters our SB run ??LB CJ Allen, LT Caleb Lomu, OC Parker Brailsford, RB Demond Claiborne, TE Justin Joly, NT Dontay Corleone, OC Bryce Foster, CB Josh Moten, LB Eric Gentry

I can't tell either. He's emphasized both the good and bad traits. Saw someone say either his guy ends up on the ground or he ends up on the ground.Originally posted by Bolt Dude View Post
I honestly can’t tell if Senior Bowl week is helping or hurting his stock. I’m inclined to think it’s the latter.
He has a nasty attitude and good athleticism. The technique can be improved. But he has to play under control on the OL. If he just wants to maul people go be a DT.

Thanks Beach! As far as Johnson goes. He’s climbing up boards this week and I think he will continue to as the draft process plays out.Originally posted by beachcomber View Post

I loved reading how much more focused he has been since he has had his child this past year. This guy is motivated to be a great player in this league for his kid.

He holds a lot then uses his strength to overpower with no regard for the whistle or human life. He is a penalty machine, maybe the next Richie Incognito (Raiders) who has played for numerous teams (Rams, Bills - twice and Dolphins). I was all for drafting him until Senior Bowl practices.Originally posted by equivocation View Post
Problem is he got his hands outside the frame on 3 of those clips.

One player who really has impressed me Senior Bowl practices (also shows in his tape) is Georgia DT DeVonte Wyatt. His style of play reminds me of Aaron Donald. PFF ranking #37 but I don't care. 89.7 overall grade in 2021. Very safe pick with positional value and dire need for Chargers.
