The Chargers won't be back on the clock until the third round. Here are 25 players they could target on Day 2 of the draft.

Are there any guy(s) on this list that you draftniks would *not* want us to take? Just curious, as my meager knowledge of the college ranks evaporates to nothing after the 2nd round.

The only one I don’t want any part of on that list is Woolen. Small school guy with terrible film but tested great…. Sounds like your classic TT 3rd round pick. Which isn’t a good thing. But seriously his tape is not good at all, he is purely a measurables guy.

Stalesco has drafted Josh Palmer and Tre McKitty in the 3rd.
More experience together, a new picture of team building - hard to say where they'll go but it should make solid sense as the season gets going.
RB seems like a good guess.

Mager & Watts (as a future center) were projects from the beginning.

I would think the 3rd rounder will be someone who can produce right away and play a lot of minutes.

They can go many directions, so the pick will be something of a bpa pick.

It will not be a Mckitty type pick....a need at a particular position reach pick.
Not trying to be critical of Mckitty, who has a bright future.

Time for a new Topcat poll: who will be Tom Telesco's wtf 3rd round draft reach this year?:goofylol:

              I nominate Kyren Williams.

Too much acclaim for the 1rst round choice and now TT will be giddy & free wheeling.

                Agree!

So Woolen is your choose in Topcat's new upcoming poll?

See Topcat's upcoming poll, soon to be released.

The Chargers interviewed a lot of day 3 OT and DT prospects. I'm thinking DB, edge, WR, RB depending on who falls and how they have guys evaluated.

For 14 NFL teams, draft season arrived when they were eliminated from the postseason. Four more will join the ranks after the Week 18 slate...

                        10: Generational Talent/No. 1 Overall

                        9.5-9.9: Top-Five Prospect

                        9.0-9.4: Top-10 Prospect

                        8.5-8.9: Immediate Impact Prospect/1st Round

                        8.0-8.4: Year 1 Starter/Late 1st-2nd Round
                        18. Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington (8.4)

                        98. Kyler Gordon, CB, Washington (7.0)

April rumor was, the Chargers had similar grades on these two. Leads me to speculate that Kyler Gordon is today's pick by the Chargers at #79.

This is an atypical draft, there will be 2nd talent available all through the next couple rounds. Just have to pick wisely, go for more NFL-ready guys than projects, cuz you just don’t need to.
