I do find it odd that we have 2 $20 million WR's and 2 of our first 4 picks are WR.
Maybe our 2 high priced guys aren't worth the dough????

Detroit traded Swift - I haven’t heard the terms yet but I wonder how Ek feels about that?

Agree that there might be only a couple TE’s left that might make sense. Kuntz is one of them and the 5th round seems right.

This is exactly what I had been saying before the draft. When they brought back Guyton to give them four WRs, I knew they were going to pick to WRs in the draft . One an X guy in the first or second round and a speed burner later in the draft who will double as a KR. That gives 6 WR.

          Keenan Allen
          Mike Williams
          QJ
          Josh Palmer
          Guyton
          Derius Davis

Gives us two WRs with speed in the 4.3s. I'm a happy camper. I played WR in HS, it's my favorite position.

Never know about 7 when he’s ranked by at least some as the best return guy in the draft.
I think R5 might have been a safe bet though. If he is a good returner, it doesnt matter and analysts were wrong.

            Welcome to LA, young man!

Derwin had screws in his foot coming out of college.

They chose a converted safety/wide receiver to be an undersized linebacker, who only has two years at the position (sort of like Tranquil)

They chose someone to be their KR/PR (& might fail at that) a round or two earlier than everyone expected
They say 50% or so of first round picks fail. Your point is??? The kid got the job done in college, but gloom and doom is better right?

I mean KR/PR...talk about a de-valued position. With 80% of KOs not returnable and the - maybe - 1-2 TDs you'd get in a season from a punt return or a KO return. I'm beginning to think that John Spanos, he with zero football acumen, is actually making the picks. Either that or: 1) Telesco is the worst GM in the League or; 2) Telesco has no backbone.

Davis is a kick returner. If he can catch a pass or run a route, thats just bonus, not why he’s drafted. We didn’t have a return specialist on the roster
