A lot of good WR's in the top-40. With one of our WR's likely to be waived, maybe go out and get another weapon for Herbert.

I kind of thought that's why they drafted QJ this year, so they won't have to use a high pick on one next year.Originally posted by Boltnut View PostA lot of good WR's in the top-40. With one of our WR's likely to be waived, maybe go out and get another weapon for Herbert.THE YEAR OF THE FLIP!

He’s all over twitter today for some weird comment about people feeling uneasy about a black man leading a program of mostly black players. I have no idea how that came up or what he was thinking there. Boulder CO is a fairly progressive locale the last I heard.Originally posted by 21&500 View Post
Same here. Deion has said some really stupid and offensive things in the past.
but if he's a gifted coach and his son a gifted athlete, well hell, that's awesome, only makes things more interesting.
I feel like I'm living in futurama with all these "juniors" in college and in the NFL, I'm sure I'm not alone.
We should get a couple games in the books before we try and assess him and his program. Good first game (offense, his defense - not as much)Justin Herbert 2026 MVP Watch

And TCU might have been a touch overrated.Originally posted by dmac_bolt View Post

There must be a back story I’m missing.Originally posted by dmac_bolt View Post

Yup, just look at who they lost in the draft, QJ, Davis, CB Tomlinson, a few others.Originally posted by OG619FrightninLightnin View Post

Even Duggan who wasn't great but still their starter.
idk TCU very well but losing that much talent would hurt any program."The best defense is more offense."

Jaheim Bell is definitely a player that fits the Gerald Everett mold for next season. Might even be a bit more versatile. I really like him. He lined up everywhere last year for South Carolina.Originally posted by Horse View Post#6 Bell for Florida State looked pretty good tonight.

I just can't shake the memory of having KA and MW hurt last year. One of them will be gone after this season.Originally posted by chargeroo View Post

I really don't know what to do with myself now that the OL is fixed.
I could see an EDGE rusher or CB. But by the early looks of it, WR may be BPA.Protect the QB
Run the ball
Play great defense

I think what Deion was referring to is the dearth of black coaches at the upper echelons of college football. I think, in his mind, a brash, unapologetic, black head coach, who is unflinchingly confident, creates an uncomfortable situation for people. Many black coaches attempt to rise through the ranks by being good boys and playing by the rules, only to be overlooked. He is here to remind us of that and to be an agent of change in that regard. I’m not sure I buy into his theory or methods but he’s a winner at just about everything he does. I find myself rooting for him!!Originally posted by dmac_bolt View Post

Honestly, can never expect the OL to be fixed, just because of injuries alone. Got to maintain vigilance and only surround Herbert with the very best. Doesn’t mean spending a first, just not ruling out ideal fit if they fall to Charger s********. Otherwise maybe catch a break on another DE/Edge rusher, see if group stays healthy this year.Originally posted by Boltnut View Post
