I honestly believe it is the coaches they have now that are not getting the best out of them. And it’s one less thing to worry about this offseason.

I vote Scott Peters for Oline coach and Stacey Searels as the assistant Oline coach.
Imo we have to get competition for Pipkins. We didn't look good almost all season, even in some wins.
      JC Latham in play.

I agree they have to get him competition, but I don’t want them to use a 1st rounder this year on one. Maybe a vet and good Oline coaches and they will be good for at least 2024.

So I look for his measureables, and I see a couple sites have him at 235 to 240...but others say 265? Whats the deal?

Hell, if he is north of 250, and moves like that? Sign me up...

Look...Im with BoltJolt..."Brock Bowers No Matter What"...but its gonna be a long, boring offseason, if thats all I got, lol...

Im also all about the O...but getting Latu...ESPECIALLY after a little trade back? I could hang my hat on that...
We'll see at the combine. Does he look to be Shawn Merriman size? Id buy 250 lbs but not 265lbs. Either way, big enough imo. Big enough for OLB in a 3-4 and Strahan was 250 lbs as a DE in a 4-3.

I know its been two or three years but he was said he would never play ball again after a neck injury when @ Washington and he has played 2 seasons since unscathed after missing all of 2021,.....so there is that.

haven't seen the 235/240, and.... guessing he could well be @the 250 lbs or so, and.... guessing again he hopes to get up to 265, and of which might be his max in the pros ??

so I guess he's not as Merrimanesque as I thought.... ?? still like him, and yes.... tough decision if Bowers, Odunze or McKinstry is still on the board.

been thinkin' 'bout draft capital, and w/a guy like Arnold who is a good example, as maybe you really like him and you decide to trade down and then nab him later in the first, and as opposed to biding your time and being patient, and hoping he is still there when you select top o' the second, and where at he is a much better value and doesn't dilute your overall draft capital value ??

recall taking a look @him and deciding he is a better pick in the second, and better left alone anywhere in the first ??

and not sure if I've dug in on the Kool Aid, albeit seem to recall I thought he was more a second half of round one guy than top ten ??

personally my lean is toward pass rush vs. coverage DBs, and as see a good handful of Dlinemen I like, one or two of which could still be on board come round two, and of which would be double dipping as opposed to drafting for need @CB.

am defense all day, days one & two, as would like an LB & NT as we!!

ps. not sure Van Pran isn't off my board @present, as am not against looking @Connor Williams in FA, and despite his ACL injury.

if not, we can trade down with someone who wants qb3 or qb4.

Edit: whoa, Trice and Chop don't make the top 25. Ouch.
pretty sure Shedeur is returning, mostly due to his dad, but also in a large part due to NIL monies.... ??

and think it more likely that Daniels goes to the likes of Vegas, Saints or the Steelers.... more middle of the first rather than earlier, and before us ??

not sure JCL is the answer, albeit am pretty certain that our next HC & GM, if wiser than some here suspect, will let Pips play out his contract as our swing tackle.... ??

the next question is: were you ok w/the way Jamaree played LT for you in Rashawn's absence ?? if so, maybe you give him the chance to win the job @RT for the '024 ??

personal opinion is that the OG falls/slots to us better than RT in the upcoming stanza, as don't think the first round RTs are quite top ten material, and think the talent might be pretty slight come top o' the second.... ?? and on the other hand, the OG starts coming into play top o' the second, and if we're fortunate we might be able to nab Cooper Beebe/Donovan Jackson round three or even early on day three ??

but yeah.... food for thought.... move Jamaree outside, and draft in insider for the IOL @OG ?? and then is McFadden ready for anything (eye don't think so ?)

and then.... the FA vet center makes even more sense in that case.

I can't wait to see what Jim---I mean, whoever our next HC is, what they do to this Oline.
everything is on the table, Salyer to ROT? Makes sense.
Can Pipkins, pick it up with better coaching in 1 offseason? Maybe.
Still hoping Zion gets a look at OC.
I haven't really looked at the draft yet, kinda waiting for deadline to declare, but I suspect OG will have value early.

OGs normally do not go in round 1, sometimes not even in round 2. We made the stupid decision to take an OG in round 1. That has not turned out
to well. On the other hand a 6th round guy is a starter and playing much better than that 1sr rounder.

I'm all for upgrading our O line. But I also think a big problem there is coaching. Why is our O line coach still around?
Our biggest needs are CB and Center. Centers are not taken in round 1. That leaves CB. Depending on who is on board
we can either take the best CB or BPA.

Still think we need some weapons for Herbert. Harrison or Bowers would be a nice fit.
