Nabers is a beast WR. reminds me of Chase, not quite as fast 4.40 - 4.48? vs 4.38 Chase but he can beat DBs in all the same ways Chase does. he will be elite.
I don't know why I'm not as sure about Odunze. all he did was put up 81 catches for 1,400+ yards and 13 TDs as their #1 go-to all season for gosh sakes. Ive read he's ran 40 as low as 4.34, and is also big and strong with great hands. Maybe I should reset my perspective on him? WR analysts gurus - why Nabers over Odunze, spell out the scouting differences if you can?
“I’ve never seen him faster," DeBoer told Christian Caple of On Montlake. “He’s clocking in the 4.3s, and (is) as big as I’ve ever seen him.”“Less is more? NO NO NO - MORE is MORE!”

Even though Irving is 40 lbs lighter, he seems just as difficult to bring down. And a good receiver out of the backfield. Allen is just a mauler that this team hasn’t had since Means. With Spiller receiving skills, I think a tandem of Allen and Spiller could be a good one. Then with their last pick of the draft, take RB Keilan Robinson. Robinson doesn’t have much production at all, but he has speed and can be the backup return specialist. The skat back they need with speed. He’s my Keaton Mitchell of this year who I was screaming for I. The 7th round last year.
I would also look on the FA market for a cheap veteran presence. Maybe a D’Onta Forman, Antonio Gibson, D’Ernst Johnson, Salvon Ahmed.
Antonio Gibson is interesting to me. He has great size, speed and hands. He’s had a really bad offense and Oline in his career in DC. I would definitely take a flier for a year on him and bring out the talent he has. He can line up all over the field with his WR background.
Go into the season with
I. Spiller
B. Allen
A. Gibson
K. Robinson
I’d be good with that with a new Oline coaches.1. Mason Taylor TE LSU
2. Quinshon Judkins RB Ohio st
3. Kyle Kennard Edge So. Carolina ✓
4. CJ West DT Indiana
5. Don'te Thornton WR Tennessee
6. Zah Frazier CB UTSA
6. Jarquez Hunter RB Auburn
6. Jay Higgins LB Iowa
6. Hunter Wohler S Wisconsin
7. Carson Vinson OT Alabama

operating in tight quarters stuff that Kelce and Gates did so well ... something i want to see in a tight end.
Settling into the right spot in zones, and getting open down field are great .... but can they carve out space?
I want to more of this stuff from Charger tight ends,
so, i'm asking.

Harrison and QJ are vastly different and not even worthy of comparison.
When he had Matt Ryan his rookie year he had 110 targets, 68 receptions and over 1000 yards so really that is a bad comparison to whats happening in ATL today.
In 2022 his QB was Mariota, who imo is a mediocre backup QB. He only had 2200 yards passing in 2022 and Atlanta as a team only had 2900. Pitts only had 59 targets, 28 receptions. Parham doesnt even start for us and has 35 targets.
Pitts has 80+ targets, 50 receptions so far this season and is doing ok but Ridder is his QB who has 2500+yards passing and 10 TDs and got benched last week. As a team they have about 3250 passing yards.
Herbert has nearly that and hasnt played 2 games in a down season.
Harrison wont be there when we pick and i think Bowers is a better overall TE than Pitts.Last edited by Boltjolt; 12-28-2023, 09:50 AM.1. Mason Taylor TE LSU

here's a short highlight reel - you'll see plays of him running thru and over defenders like they were matchsticks. You'll see strong contested catches where he out-muscles defenders. And you'll see a lot of amazing routes where he is quickly wide open 20+ yards downfield in a blink. He plays grown-ass-man TE, he's not just a cute receiving toy. But he is a great receiving toy, unlike most grown-man TEs.

He's a nice player with soft hands - Herbert would like that.
One linebacker put his hands on Bower in the video, and Bowers beat him on a wheel route.
I didn't see him carving out space once - putting his hands on a db and directing him one way,
or just going down, pivoting, and creating space against dbs: Kelce & Gates old game.
so i'm asking those who've seen a ton of him.
He would be the #5 - 7 pick in the draft and you do want a tight end with a complete arsenal in their bag at that point.
Someone who could be a very physical bastard like Kelce or Gronk, who could rag doll dbs, or a unique guy like Gatesy.
How important are 3rd downs?
Charger tight ends don't do it - possibly because Allen is the primary 3rd down option.
Allen has 1 - 2 years left at the top of his game?

We need RB help bad...we cant miss, so I am loathe to wait till the 4th round...just because he is being mocked there, doesnt mean he lasts that long...we may have to reach in the third, if we want to grab a pro ready back, or we may be relying on lucking into a sleeper gem...thats a helluva gamble for a key offensive component.
