Due to the fact that they don't have any 2nd rounders, I would insist on next year's 1st rounder also. Not the best trading partner, because I want a 2nd rounder this year, plus at least a 3rd rounder this year also...but for next year's 1st rounder plus those other picks, it might work. If they throw in next year's 2nd rounder also, that would seal the deal...

IDK, for them to basically end up with the QB pick at 5 then only 3 more picks in day 3? plus they would also lose a 2nd next year? I think the jets are out of the QB market this year, they have their savior in Rodgers and he already told them he wants to play multiple years as a jet, I don't think he's counting 2023 as one of those years...

the Jets desperately needs to invest in O-line, I don't think they are making any moves in this draft, they will take the best O-line they can get at 10 or perhaps even trade down a few spots to take one later if they like a cluster of guys...

If they push back and stay that's too steep, throw them a bone and let them have that 7th rounder we got for Tranq...

so for a 1700 value they are going to give us 2090 in value? and you are speculating that they could potentially add their second 3rd rounder so that would be a whopping 2285 for a 1700 value? why would they do that? they might be able to get Justin fields for their current 2nd and next years 3rd then draft the BPA at #8...

If Rodgers stays healthy and plays multiple years, then the Jets are looking pretty solid at QB. But...if he gets injured again, especially another serious injury, at his age Aaron might just call it quits. The Jets will be kicking themselves later on if they had a shot at a top QB and didn't pull the trigger...

For a top 5 pick, especially if the Falcons have a certain player targeted, and IF they're afraid another team, like the Raiders or Donks, move up to #6 or so, Atlanta may be more than willing to pay up to get their man...the value chart is not set in stone...in the past, a lot of teams have "overpaid" to get their targeted player...

I'll second guess them after I see the '24 Chargers play a half season or so.
Dicker is the most important ERFA that the chargers have, I don't think there's a chance in hell that they don't tender him an offer, he might be the only one of our ERFAs to get a tender due to them needing to get cap compliant...the rest of the guys might still end up resigning later but initially I have to imagine that Dicker will be a priority even as they attempt to get under the cap...

IF Falcons are one of multiple suitors...IF there is a bidding war...you may be surprised at what we can get. Might not be that big of a haul that you were referring too...but a QB at the top of the draft? Many teams have thrown that chart out the window, to get the QB they want.

and how do you protect Aaron by drafting another QB?

same, the best center in the draft at pick #37, otherwise it will be defense, if they pass on bowers at #5 and trade down, then it will CB and then the center...

Sign some FA's...The Jets are near the league average in Capville...they have some room and might be able to restructure a few of their high-priced players...at least they're not in as bad shape as the Bolts:

tophat's scenario not mine, I think they might look into trading for Fields depending on what the bears want to do and whether Robinson even likes Fields...

I like that move...I've been banging the table for a trade down for picks, grab a top shelf CB in picks #8-11 or so, then go C in round 2 and maybe RT in round 3...get IOL depth later in round 5-6 or so...I'd still like to sign a vet FA C to compete with our draftee...or to play while we groom the new C...
