Im expecting to draft a few Wolverines and bring in more UDFAs who know the system. More value to the practice team as well. Especially year 1.Originally posted by electricgold View Post
IF Nabers makes our jaws drop and runs in the 4.3's and has a 40 inch vertical then draft him at 5! A 1200 yard 15 plus TD per season would be nice and may eclipse what Bowers could offer at the TE position!
Also just last week I posted on here Imagine Justin Herbert with a running game, and I added that we don't have to imagine it because we are about to see it! I love how Roman said the exact same thing!
We need to seriously look at Audric Estime, Jalen Wright, Braelon Allen, MarShawn Lloyd and Blake Corum!
Lastly we have to really be prepared since Minter is our DC to see some of Michigan's players drafted by us in this draft! The players coming up already know his D well and Harbaugh made the comment at the press conference that the Chargers are going to be the farming team to Michigan's players! I hope we seriously consider Mike Sainristil, Zinter, Junior Colson, Corum, Roman Wilson and Kris Jenkins!

might want to take a look see @Ben Sinnott.... most have him slotted day three atm, but can't see him not making his way down into day two by draft's eve.Originally posted by charger1_sj View Post
Actually Bowers would be the perfect fit. But somebody wanted to draft a TE in the 3rd round. Outside of Bowers this is not a great year for drafting TEs, we should have done
this last year. Thus my comment. Everett is a better option than drafting a TE in round 3. But lets say the guy drafted is a better blocker than Everett. Who's our receiving threat?
We need a lot of different positions, other positions need upgrades.
It's not getting done in one year. But this coaching staff should improve the level of play, even with the guys on the roster. What I know is we may not make the POs, but we're
not finishing 5-12 either.DT Peter Woods, LB CJ Allen, OC Iapani Laloulu, NT Dontay Corleone, ED Matayo Uiagalelei, LT Trey Zuhn, TE Justin Joly, LB Eric Gentry
TE Cade Otton, QB Kenny Pickett, CB Josh Jobe

an NFL scout basically referred to him as a Sam LaPorta lite, and gave a compare of Dallas Clark ??DT Peter Woods, LB CJ Allen, OC Iapani Laloulu, NT Dontay Corleone, ED Matayo Uiagalelei, LT Trey Zuhn, TE Justin Joly, LB Eric Gentry

If we dont draft Bowers , Sinnott and Wiley are the two id like to draft. If we do draft Bowers id still look at Wiley later. Either combo.Originally posted by beachcomber View Post

Staley didn't make the POs 2/3 years. When he did we lost in historic fashion. I'm not as optimistic as you until I see the roster.Originally posted by sonorajim View Post
We'll make the playoffs. Staley did and I absolutely believe 2024 will be a far better team.
However I have no doubt we'll be better next year than we were this.

The good teams usually have one TE that is mostly used as a weapon and another that is used as your prototypical TE. Chiefs are an example. Kelce is usually out when the Chiefs call a run play. Drafting 2 TEs is not out of the question although I think it's more probable, they bring in a FA and draft one.Originally posted by Boltjolt View Post

Season: WK 10
REC: 32
YARDS: 460
TDs: 6
Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!

With the many needs we have we're not drafting 2 TEs. I can see Sinnott as a blocking TE, maybe even FB. But not in round 2 or 3.Originally posted by Boltjolt View Post

Who's is our receiving TE? FB and pure blocking TE go maybe in round 5,6 or 7.

Not doubting that we can or will use two TEs. Just saying we are not drafting 2 TEs. We have too many needs at other positions.Originally posted by Chargers8491 View Post

Sinnott is a receiving TE, that also happens to be able to play inline.... he's a combo TE, sorta like HenryOriginally posted by charger1_sj View Post
