The Bears have Braxton Jones @LT. I believe he graded out fairly well last year. IMO, they'll be looking @WR or DE @#9.
If they get lucky @WR with the #9 pick, they may want to get an DE with the 3rd round pick. Could they want to trade their 3rd round pick for Khalil Mack...?

I’d take Alt add to that offensive line and get a receiver with the other pick.

Mack doesn’t hit 2025 cap as of now. Trading a guy with only 1 year on his contract usually nets less than desired but he’s a baller so ?

I still think JH and Minter aren’t walking in with their first plan is to dump their two starting edge players. Maybe if it is to go after a younger Edge like Allen or Burn(s?) - they could have Ed work his magic to structure those contracts to reduce 2024 cap and hit cap hard in later years when other high dollar players are rolling off. Thats just another form of kicking the can, albeit for younger star players.

They want good edge players, i guarantee that. They know the value of elite edge players - every team knows this. I don’t know they have the same negative assessment of Joey that this board has. Maybe, maybe not - i am just not assuming it - I am assuming they want their best players because they want to win now. Doesn’t sound like Minter does. But we’re all guessing … time shall reveal …
