D backfield, OL, IDL, these are the position groups where we have drafted a lot of guys to “develop” that haven’t yet, and it’s really hurt us. Hopefully the new coaches are looking at tape, talking to these young men, getting a sense of where they’re at and how far they can get them to go. This type of analysis is what’s gonna determine our draft/FA strategy. Us, we won’t know how it all comes together, for better or worse, till September. Trust the MFIC and his minions.
I'd just remind everyone that Woods also had to/tried to play in The Staley Defense . Maybe, like many of our DBs have said, if he's not required to solve quadratic equations at the snap ...

    Trust MFIC, indeed.

Now the interview portion, I think is important. And of course the impromptu meetings between agents and teams at St. Elmos - the teams talking - of course, not tampering, just "talking" wink wink
100%. i wouldn't run or even hold a football if I were MH2. He's almost universally rated the top non-QB that will come off the board, there is nothing but risks/downside with no possible upside.

Getting bummed, mad or whatever about players not running drills is like complaining about the weather.

If he runs a slow 40, that can that knock him down

Just look at the film - guy is a player.

Kris Jenkins, Braden Fiske, McKinley Jackson are DT's in the 3rd that are strong against the run and can bring pressure on the QB.
LB's: Assuming we can get another 3rd rounder from trading Mack or Bosa...
Junior Colson, Tommy Eichenberg, Jalan Ford, Cedric Gray, Payton Wilson, Nathaniel Watson
In my personal mock I have both Jenkins and Colson in the 2nd round after a trade back in the 1st. I would probably take Allen RB in the 3rd. Hopefully we will have 2 3rd round picks as well.

question is,....Is Caleb THAT much if an upgrade? Even an upgrade at all? Fields had shown promise when he was in the field.

Id stay with him. Get him another WR and some OL.
They could end up with three first-round picks in next year's draft if they trade down twice, first with Washington or New England and then to the Giants or Falcons.

If they did keep Fields im not sure that helps us in a trade down. It keeps one more QB available so i think it could help us.

I think we are going to trade down because there is going to be a lot of interest and competition for that pick. I'm guessing a team is going to give up a lot to move in to the #5 position.

When you have needs at some many positions, there is no need to pigeon hole yourself. Granted, two of the bigger needs, Center and IDL, probably do not have value at 5 or even the top 10. So if the right trade comes along, absolutely trade back.

It's on the table. When we're on the clock , it will depend on the board and offers made.
In reality he won't be pigeonholed at quantity over quality.

Looks Chicago is trading that pick.

                          DJ Moore wants Justin Field.

let’s see what Kings Ransom they get.
