Harbaugh/Hortiz will build the team to beat the Chiefs... they've both said that. Their best chance is to be balanced on offense and play good/great defense. That's why Roman and Minter were brought on. A first-round WR would be less utilized in Roman's offense than an OT. We spent a 1st round pick on WR last year. We have one of the most productive WR's in football in Keenan. Joshua Palmer has been under-used. Harbaugh has said he likes our WR group. It is the strongest group on the team. They will find a TE in the middle rounds. Most of the league's best TE were found in the middle rounds. It can be done. We might even pick up a TE in free agency... depending on how much cap space we create.Protect the QB
Run the ball
Play great defense

my only concern with Alt and it's not even much of an issue because it's fixable with time and hard work, I think that he needs to get a lot stronger, for such a massive guy he plays with too much finesse for my taste, looking at Alt I feel like he is still a year or two away from being the best version of himself, he still looks like he hasn't finished growing into his body, so while I think he's a fantastic prospect I don't think he's the plug and play player that everyone is saying he is, he lacks the kind of power in his game that I would like to see in a #1 OT top 5 pick type of guy..."The author assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this post. Also, it should be noted that Joe Hortiz was with the Ravens when they signed Foster Sarrell as an UDRFA out of Stanford, we kind of poached Foster before the Ravens could put him on their practice squad a couple of years ago, and out of the 5-6 ERFA we had one which was 1000% going to be brought back was Dicker...guess who the other guy was that the chargers just fucking tendered, it was Foster Sarrell...so while that doesn't mean that the chargers won't draft an OT in a draft with some really good ones, it does mean that we already have 3 OTs with some NFL starting experience on the roster, I think we need to be realistic about what the prudent use of that 5th overall pick is, because to me a guy that loves picking O-line high in the draft, this is NOT the year to stick and pick and if they do, then use the pick on a position where the player is needed to contribute immediately, IDK, like maybe a fucking TE or an Edge or a fucking CB?
I like Alt, but the draft crush bullshit that's going around is fucking absurd, I think Alt needs to get stronger to maximize his potential, to me he's still a year maybe two away from being the player that some people around here envision that he already is..."The author assumes no responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions in the content of this post.
