Gotta love this time of year. Everybody has a theory.

The Vikings could make a compelling case to land a QB with the No. 3 pick in the draft by a trade involving the Chargers and Patriots.

"CBS Sports Fantasy managing editor R.J. White has done that, offering a three-team trade proposal involving the Los Angeles Chargers and the New England Patriots that could surface come draft night on April 27."

"The Vikings trade the Chargers their two first-round picks this year at No. 11 and No. 23 in exchange for the No. 5 overall pick; then, they would offer the No. 5 pick and their 2025 first-round pick to the Patriots to move up to No. 3."

I think it is going to take more than just the Vikings 2 first rnd picks to move up. I think it will take a 2024 3rd rnd or a 2025 2nd rnd but who knows.

Beats me - not sure if anyone saw, but Koolaid scored a perfect 100% on the blind taste test Koolaid Challenge at Indy combine. The ESPN host only got 4 of 6 I think? Sometimes cliches are cliches and names are named because they are pure truth.

          Young vet + young developing.

          Niemann + Henley.
          Fulton + Asante.
          Edwards + Spiller.
          Palmer + QJ.
          Bozeman + Jaimes.

The trick of drafting and roster building for Hortiz is going to be to identify and project which young players are about to ascend.
Yes. Sort of like what Marty would say about 3 deep and let them compete. I think TT did not have enough young vets. He relied too much on rookies jumping in right away and backed up by UDFA scrubs.

This way will work for our transition. There are needs across the roster.

Hortiz mentioned depth the other day.

I have 54 years of watching the Chargers unsuccessfully seeking Lombardis by counting on elite players, such as MHJ and Nabers, while concurrently lacking in depth.

Depth without elite talent won't get you there.

SF could not beat KC in spite of superior depth and elite talent.

We will eventually have both depth and well priced elite talent, but I don't see Jimbo putting the horse before the cart.

Sidebar. It's actually 59 years of hanging in for me and for you too, Sir.

Sidebar #2. When you stated "don't @ me !" that was a trope, like "You don't know ball."

                  I did not know that.

Another DT to look at in the 2nd rnd if he makes it out of the 1st rnd. Jer'Zhan "Johnny" Newton, DT, Illinios.

Interesting read imho Fuaga the weakest out of top tackles? A 2 year project?
A guy I like to watch/listen to is Voch Lombardi. He studies primarily OL as he was a player/coach @OL himself.
Here is his take on Fuaga. Take a look-see around the 4:00 mark. This is what Fuaga does better than any OT in the entire draft.
Pipkins doesn't even come close to this type of movement skill @the 2nd level.

Many good OCs are found in the later rounds. This guy fits that.

Linsley was a 5th, Jason Kelce round 6,Bozeman was a 6th, Raiders OC was a UDFA. I think Andrews was undrafted, Karras 6th rd, Jenson 6th rd, Brian Allen a 4th.
Of course some other good ones were earlier.
I dont spend tons of time on OCs so not sure how Nouzads tape compares to JPJ.

I am fearlessly mocking him to us @ #5, Nutty.
beach was all over it early.
                          Perfect fit.
                          Natural position is ORT.
Team Interviews are off the charts.
