Looks like a lot of us have the same players. Don't know if that is a good thing or bad...lol. Maybe I should put the Michigan one in my sig just for shits and giggles.Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!

But I don't mind. They'll go BPA ultimately. But if Jim knows they fit... doesn't that elevate them into BPA sometimes...?
I've been taking Kris Jenkins @#37... when he's often ranked @#50. Is it a reach...? We'll see come Thursday.Protect the QB

The Chargers might have Jenkins ranked higher. If they do and select him @ 37 is that a reach because draft pundits had him ranked @ 50? Hortiz gave us a little glimpse at what they are looking at in players. They really don't look at measurables that hard. They are looking for competitors. Guys that go the extra mile and do extra work. Anyway, I'm ready for the draft and can't wait to see what they do Thursday.Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!

This is why I have us trading up from 105 to 100 ahead of Carolina for Rice for a 2025 5th.

Both the defense and the offense will look different than anything we're used to.
You have to consider scheme fit. Both Harbaugh and Hortiz have said they're looking for competitors over measurables.
In his latest interview, Hortiz specifically mentioned what they looked for in a DT. He doesn't have to have stats (sacks). What are the little things he does to make the whole team better...? How does he 2-gap...? Does he free others up...? Michigan does a lot of those little things... so does Baltimore.
Draft pundits are measuring prospects against each other. They are not specifically considering players in specific systems or roles.

Not real enticed by Chark or CVS and think they will wait til after the draft to see who becomes available. I do like they are looking at speed guys though but Chark is injury prone ( played in 25 of last 51) and he and CVS have drop issues.Last edited by Boltjolt; 04-19-2024, 06:55 PM.1.
