And with the 5th pick -- I really like the trade down. Need 4 QBs to be top 5 picks.
Yeah, The Belly Up is in coastal Solana Beach area.

Totally hoping for a trade down, because IMO it's the way to get the team better, faster. And I'm convinced one of the draft's elite players will still be there at #10, so there's that 5 spot margin for trading down with losing out on an elite talent. You get a second round pick for moving down and STILL getting an elite prospect? Not sure why anyone wouldn't do this.

I posted somewhere that I'd be happy to have the Bolts draft MHJ, if he fell to #5. But I'd still expect Hortiz to listen to trade offers for the pick. Great position to be in-- No offer strong enough comes in? Draft MHJ. Stupendous offer comes in? Flexibility to take that offer.

One insider says if we stick to #5 we're taking Nabors.

Bowers is my pick but I'm not worried about it. Hortiz and Harbaugh are going to hit the AFCW like a punch in the mouth with their choices.
I'm sticking with Bowers but our Twitter fans think Nabers will help everyone more. I just would be stunned if we went WR.
Again we'll see who we keep and let go. Hard to say otherwise.

Like you said - if the elite talent is there at 5 and the trade doesn't align --- stay put. But if the QBs are there, the Chargers might be able to swing a trade down. Two things: 1) Fields NOT to Atlanta 2) McCarthy moving in to that top 5 ranges with the other three

I like the idea of moving down to 8 - and assessing and possibly moving down again. But at 8 - I think the Chargers can get Bowers - like BOltJolt - he is the guy I want.

Why? QJ most likely will just be a good receiver not a GREAT receiver. If you have the opportunity to take a great receiver I think doing so is a smart move. The next move would be to take a very good pass rusher. Both are very expensive in the open market.

There is no way to know that after his rookie season,...we saw VJ not do much his first 2 seasons, and he was injured and his 3rd season he took off.

Nico Collins same thing. Has happened with other receivers. Sometimes some players need more time than others.

We have receivers that are good,....Keenan is great but he isn't a speed demon. There's also no guarantee Nabers will be a great NFL receiver. See them fail all the time.
We have nothing to speak of at TE and Bowers will help Herbert just as much as Nabers . ..who isn't taking Keenans #1 spot anytime soon with Herbert.

If they do draft Nabahs, I'll be fine with it but very surprised. Still think it will be Bowers and would be a great fit and pick but I understand they will also fix the OL and the DL.

Can't really say who or what it will be till we make some moves. If we lose both MW and Keenan, then absolutely we will pick Odunzie or Nabahs. If we keep both, no way....if we keep Keenan, I doubt it.

TEs are going to be much more important to this offense than people here and especially Twitter people think.
People on Twitter seem to think we will be running the same type of 3 wide out sets regularly

If the Chargers keep one of KA or MW, no way they go WR at 5.
I still think QJ could be more than just a good WR.

I think that is why I would prefer the trade back - get more picks and if you get a guy like Odunze at 8 - you are also getting extra picks. Probably can get OT at 8 as well.

MH2, Nabers and Odunze are all future WR1 for their respective teams.
It's going to be fun to track this class.
I didn't feel this way about last years WR first rounders.

My sig? I still have last year's mock there?
Would be weird if it showed one. I don't see it
