Trade down and draft Fuaga.
If we go WR next then Ladd McConkey or Malachi Corley w/ the extra 2nd rounder or early first rounder depending how much someone pays to move up.
If not then Jalen Coker in the 3rd.

I think you mean Williams. All I'm saying is Chicago has options...they can either take Williams OR move down for additional picks inside the top 4 picks. If I was Chicago I could live with either Maye or Daniels... but that's just me...

trade. Now they are loaded with some young talent. If Fields falters you trade your two firsts to move up and get a QB next year.
But unfortunately, the Bears fan base wants a change at QB. So the GM is under a lot of pressure to get one this year.
And let's remember Fields was a 1st rounder.

All three might be a better option than Fields. So if you can upgrade QB and get a second rounder plus trade fields for another second that two additional second rounders this year. Fields might just be an OK QB not a Great QB at this point in time. I would take the chance on a QB upgrade.

There is a graveyard filled with NFL 1st round QBs that didn't work out. The Bears don't have a good recent history of doing exactly that.

He appears to be a middle of the pack qb in this league at best.

Fields has been stuck with poor coaching. Getsy was the QB coach for A-Arod, so he didn’t need to teach much. Hackett got the HC job at Denver because of
A-Arod and look how that turned out.

I think if Fields either stays in Chicago or goes to Atlanta, he will be in better hands. Shane Waldron is a good OC from the McVay tree. OC Zac Robinson in Atlanta is also from the McVay tree. Even though Robinson is a 1st time OC, I think he will be good. Definitely better than Getsy.

Thats why I was happy to see Getsy go to Vegas.

They didn't think Trubinsky was WTF at the time. The Raiders didn't think J. Russel was WTF at the time. The 49ers didn't think T. Lance was WTF at the time.

I'd make that trade in a heartbeat. I might use it on Fuaga.

That's realistic... and I would take that trade.
I've always preferred getting Minnesota's #11, 2nd round, and a 4th rounder (this year's).
But next year's 3rd rounder would be a good trade, too. It will be a 2-year build. So many roster holes.
