Maybe just trade Bosa straight to Atlanta for that 3rd rounder
I would be over the moon if we got a 3rd rounder, straight up for Bosa. I think Hortiz would be pleased as well. I packaged him as I don't see many teams wanting to take on a guy with a 33+ million dollar cap hit and only managed 13 games in the last 2 seasons combined.

I still think the idea of trading Joey to SF is in play.
49ers have tried and tried to find someone to put opposite Nick.
Joey would cooperate on a new contract whereby SF would be able to fit it their cap.
      We play modern Harball.

I think we all should feel good about the draft regardless who they pick because Harbaugh & Co probably already have a vision of what they need.

this is a great point! when the money is right (discounted) any deal can work. Joey grants a discount, 49ers hand us the draft pick, and we've got a deal !!!

edit: I think if the 49ers get lit up by Mahomes, they are going to be even more interested in making a deal.

Chase Young is a FA - who will probably command more money than Bosa
Young becomes a FA - Niners probably get a comp pick for Young
            49ers have two 3rds,. two 4ths

They easily they can trade one of those extra 3rds or 4ths for Bosa and fit him under the cap and he can play with Nick. And because I am feeling so generous, if the Niners just want to trade comp picks - their 3rd round comp pick and the Chargers 7th round comp pick with Bosa - I might just do that deal . Granted they also have comp picks in R5 and R6. But lets start with the 3rd or 4th rounder

Good point Wu - the Niners and bosa still might be in play

I can see it but They also have some huge cap hits next season and will be 3-4 mil over the cap. They need to make decisions on on restructures. Armstead is one. Deebo they wont trade but his cap hit next season is 28 mil. Warners is 24.4 mil, Hargrave is 15.4....so Hargrave and Armstead are 30 right now and not old but those are big numbers.

Chase Young is a FA and seeing reports they may bench him because he takes too many plays off. Cant see that in th biggest game but motivate him to give his all for 1 game lol.

Sad they have to motivate a guy in the playoffs.

personal suspicion is that Bowers is not the route runner that Kincaid is.... not sure he's going to be the vacuum suck kind of pass catcher that Dalton is.... ??

also not so sure that Fuaga won't add more wins to the win column that your shiny new TE.... ??

will also add that have found no evidence that Everett is not in the top 32 TEs in the League.... ESPN & PFF both have him @15.... others have him in the twenties, and one fantasy site had both him and Parham in the bottom quarter of the top 32.... just sayin'

Agreed. SB may decide SF's plans.

                    1) RT Taliese Fuaga * am moving him into my top spot, as don't think Latu, Jer'Zhan nor Byron Murphy are holding their ground in round one, and.... just not feelin' good about drafting a pass catcher, as don't think that's the best way to build a SB roster.

                    2) NT T'Vondre Sweat * dude gets slotted up into the first, and if he is anything near what I am hoping for, he is def worth a high second, as (very) rarely does a decent NT last this long, if ever.... am hoping for another pick this round, and would be looking DT Bryon Murphy if so, and.... can see the sentiment for Jackson Powers Johnson here, but just not in love w/the guy (was same re: Creed Humphrey as well, and fwiw)

                    3) LB Cedric Gray * dude is climbing and dropping in mocks, and again.... just the guy I want for this D, and as yes.... hard to pass on Sedrick Van Pran, and.... @the end of the day, gotta stick w/my guys, and will hope that we can perhaps land Connor Willimas in FA.... if we get another pick (or coupla few), def need to be looking RB here, as well as the OC.

                    4) S Cole Bishop * he's rising in mocks as well, and am just keeping him here for now, as he would be an obvious boom to our defensive secondary.

                    5) RB Daijun Edwards * personally think he's (easily) a day two talent, and would have no qualms drafting him there, and.... will keep him here as his consensus is a day three talent atm.

                    6) QB Joe Milton * just like this guy's intangibles and like him in our QB room, albeit he really has done little to warrant much excitement around him.... hopefully he surprises.

                    7) LB Eric Gentry * like this guy's measurables and intangibles.... could be a good new wrinkle to our LB corps.

Simple fact. The 49ers have to win the Super Bowl. They aren’t thinking of getting this player and that player.

It’s an all in Super Bowl. Like the Rams. If they don’t win the Super Bowl against the Chiefs they aren’t trading for Joey Bosa.

they made a Von Miller type trade. It’s chase Young. They’ve spent Money on Hargrave Traded for Chase Young. Paid Trent Williams paid Debo

and Paid Ward and still have to pay Mcafrey and Aiuk.,

this game is the championship for all the marbles.

I’ll say this about Chase Young he’s playing for his career in this Super Bowl. He needs to show he deserves money.

One tight end I like for the Chargers is Dallin Holker Colorado State. He is a beast looks like a Gronk.

                          He transferred from BYU.

                          Big strong kid. “ 6-4” 255

has great route running skills and great hands. He dominated Colorado.

                          Hes a Harbaugh type player.

We could really solidify our tight end Room with Bowers in round 1 and him.

or draft an Alt round one and then draft him.
