Hard to say but I have come to realize we are not getting Warren or Loveland at 25. I think Warren goes top 20. likely 14 to Indy and I think Lovelend goes 20-25.

I am getting my head around the Chargers taking Kenneth Grant at 25.

Regardless, there will good players wherever the Chargers draft in the 1st. I have every confidence that Hortiz/Harbaugh will find their players even if we might not agree with the pick at the time. It's a good time to be a Charger fan!
Time to put my money where my mouth is: Hampton will be better than Jeanty!

Ye of little faith...when the draft process gets underway, you will see everyone remember how important OTs, Edge, CBs...and yes, somebody will draft a QB that doesnt belong in the first round...

Hot take...when all is said and done...Warren, Loveland, Jeanty...one of those guys will fall to us...not saying we take em...but at least one of them will be available, regardless of what the mock drafts say....jmo

Much as I love Qs breakout, and think he can be a valuable piece going forward...still think we need another dynamic playmaker...TE, RB, WR...and am all for a 1st or 2nd pick to be spent thus...still plenty of picks early to address IOL, and even an Edge....

We wouldn't have Alt - that'd have been a huge mistake given all data we've gained since the uncertain day of drafting.

Note to self: NEVER trade my generational OT for any IOL player ever, they can be found lying around in the 7th round.

Huh...Kenneth Grant playing in the shrine game? Guess as a Junior, Senior bowl out...but does he really need the exposure? Surprised..

I agree. If Warren and Loveland are gone, there are worse things than taking Egbuka at 25. I think he could be there. Ladd, QJ, Egbuka would be a good young trio.

I could also be on board for Omarion Hampton at 25.

My prediction is Kenneth Grant though. Both Tart and Ford are free agents and the run defense still needs improvement.

Ham and Egs are both going to be legit impact players. Position Value Chart says take the WR, but I'm hungry for both of them

They definitely need a TE regardless of Q breaking out and they also need another WR that has a different skill set than Q and Ladd. Someone like Josh beck, Savion Williams, Elic Ayomanor, Pat Bryant, just to name a few. Guys that are good jump ball type WRs.

Grant is a pretty good prediction. It would be hard for the Chargers to pass him up if he is there. Harbaugh loved Grant at Michigan. On the defensive side of the ball CB, S, and Edge are also a real strong possibility as well especially if the top S and CBs fall. I just don't know how they pass up Hampton if he is there especially if they want to have a dominate run game.

                        I hear you.

The more I think about it I would really like Hampton at 24. If you want a dominant run game it takes more than IOL upgrades, it takes a dominating runner.

Such an awesome draft for RBs, best in years, we need to come away with a good one.

Here are where the RBs are ranked on PFF's big board of overall players. This isnt gospel this list but it confirms my thoughts.... we need to take an RB no later than round 4 to get an upgrade on Haskins, Edwards, Vidal

                        Round 1

                        4. Ashton Jeanty
24 Omarion Hampton (hmmm right where Chargers sit now)

                        Round 2

                        47 Cam Skattebo
                        53 Dylan Sampson
58 Kaleb Johnson (Chargers 2nd rounder at 56 right now)

                        Round 3

                        73 TreVeyon Henderson
                        80 Devin Neal
                        83 Quinshon Judkins
                        90 RJ Harvey

                        Round 4

                        98 DJ Giddens
                        107 Kaytron Allen
                        112 Jarquez Hunter
                        114 Nick Singleton
                        117 Kalel Mullings
                        121 Damien Martinez

                        Round 5

                        134 Trevor Etienne
                        141 Kyle Monangai
                        145 Marcus Yarns
                        148 Bhayshul Tuten
                        152 Jordan James

                        Round 6

                        164 Tahj Brooks
                        166 Ollie Gordon

                        Round 7

                        205 Ja'Quinden Jackson
                        206 Woody Marks
                        215 Montrell Johnson
                        227 Raheim Sanders

Yes, but doesn't our draft pick position change as we win in the playoffs? I hope we are NOT picking at 25. LOL!
