I think if they are targeting OL in the 1st, they trade back and get more picks for either this year or next. If they trade back they can have their pick of the crop. OT/G Wyatt Milum, OT/G Jonah Savaiinaea. I think either of these guys would be dominate Gs next to Slater. I personally like Savaiinaea and think he’d be worth a pick at the back end of the 1st. Milum hasn’t given up a sack in 3 years, so there’s that as well.

What sticks out to me about Milum is his awareness and constant head on a swivel. Always looking for work aggressively and has a powerful initial punch.
Love him.

Ladd can help teach a better get off in press and man.Originally posted by Lone Bolt View Post
Its kinda pick your flavor...neither is a true, prototypical big X...but both can play out of that position...they will both struggle a bit against big press corners...Egbuke is saavy enough in his releases to overcome...but in Goldens case, when he breaks free...look out..
Egbuke more reliable, polished, good blocker, better yac by far in traffic...Golden more upside with that speed, if he continues to develop his game...
I love them both...but I will concede you probably go Golden, because if you cant be a big x, you need to be a FAST x who learns how to use his release to beat press coverage...if he can do that, he can be dangerous in playaction.
WR at 22 isnt my favorite scenario...but I ran it for giggles, and I do really like both these guys...but Golden was gone.
If we did add one of these guys, you are probably phasing out Q, and eventually adding a jump ball guy to go with Ladd and the new guy for 3 receiver sets...either a lengthy wr or true flex TE.
Neither is an economical first round need pick for our current WR room, so not my first choice...but if the draft falls in such a way that either is BPA? Definitely raise the talent level in Herberts toolbox...cant ignore that possibility

Yeah, Guyton is only an inch taller. Zay Flowers 3" shorter and normally I wouldn't want a 5'9" reciever but his cuts and start stops are on a dime. Then there is Steve Smith at 5'9"Originally posted by Topcat View Post
When u have 4.29 speed and get plenty of separation, those couple inches won't matter..."Herbert...going long to Golden...TOUCHDOWN!!!"

the year Tuli came out, thought he was the only ED that could hedge Bosa…. this year Grant is pretty much the only DT for me, JT the only ED, and Donovan the only OG…. like Jared Wilson @the OC, but think they like McLaughlin on a layaway deal there ??Originally posted by Lone Bolt View Post
Grant and JT would be a nice haul...JT all over the place on boards...I think he is one of the better all around football players, and safest picks, when you are talking Edge...cant mock him without trading, though...he always seems to land just inside top 50
regardless would like two of those guys by 55.
LB CJ Allen, LT Caleb Lomu, OC Parker Brailsford, RB Demond Claiborne, TE Justin Joly, NT Dontay Corleone, OC Bryce Foster, CB Josh Moten, LB Eric Gentry

Yep...like when Skattie failed to get a first down and shoved a teammate who offered a hand up? Yep, gotta take that into consideration when drafting:Originally posted by Lone Bolt View PostSkattebo one of my favorite college players...but the kid has serious tude'...either Harbaugh and crew channel that into beastmode 2.0...or it blows up in their faces. Check his history...watch his body language and behavior on the field...is that a flaming chip on his shoulder? The eye of the tiger? Or is it ego?
His college coach reigned him in...said stick with me kid, follow the program, and ill make you a star...
But how would he respond when Jim tells him Najee is #1, keep working, earn your spurs...? Does he grow...step up his game? Or does he go sullen, goes to fat, with a sense of unrealized entitlement? Is there humility there?
That's the question I have...love the performance last year...funnest tape to watch outside Jeanty...every run is a MMA fight to this kid...but I worry he is boom or bust...without the right mentorship, I think he is out of the league in 3 or 4 years...
But if we do take him, I would hope Jim is just the kinda coach this kid would follow, and could actually turn him into a beastmode 2.0...
In any case, Im a big fan...rooting for the kid to keep his head on straight, and succeed, wherever he goes...as long as its not in games against us!

I like Royals more than just about any other WR in this class. His drop rate is really low too. If Golden had his drop rate I’d like him more. And Royals is basically as fast as Golden. The difference is minuscule. I don’t think Royals makes it to 55 though. I think he’s gone between 29 and 44 range. Higgins would be up there for me too. I know this sounds kinda crazy but I like Royals more than Higgins. His extra gear to pull away is ridiculous but he’s built to go up get contested catches and his hands are gold. Golden to me is behind both of these guys. I know that’s not the consensus but that’s just how I see them. and I like Golden.Originally posted by Boltinloudguy View Post
I think Egbuka is the better all around WR than Golden. Inside, outside, fast, great hands and route running. It doesn’t seem that Golden’s game speed matches his 40 time.
The WRs I like to be had in the 2nd are either Jayden Higgins or Jalen Royals. I think this year, Royals is the WR to grab in the 2nd. He has wheels, he’s got good size at 6’ 205 lbs, good hands and route running. He pairs perfectly with MW, McConkey and QJ.
