Liuget is only going somewhere if we send him packing.

Fixing the DT is not going to make us a great run D all by itself. The rest of the D has to get better at their run fits and we aren't going to beat anyone unless the tackling is more like the middle of the season then either end.

Steve, this would seem to be an endorsement of a Derwin James type in Phillips' role. Running QB's, Tight ends and passes to running backs could be contained by this guy and he doesn't seem to miss many tackles.

If I didn't actualy say endorsement it is because I get my heart set on some of these guys and then get really disappointed when someone else picks them. I don't think he gets to #17. Yes he is someone I would very seriously consider at #17, depending on who else is there.

I would love it if he did. I think I said it somewhere else, but at worst, I think he fits in doing what Phillips does. But he might be a good enough players to take Addae role as the starting SS, or even the FS spot from Boston. Or if King takes another spot, James could probably be a good nickel DB. I think he could be a real impact guy who could play a number of roles for us, and helps our D get a ton of turnovers.

I'd like to add an OLT in there too, but I can't get a handle on them.

I believe the first two are difference makers so I don't expect them to be there.

What’s interesting about the first two is injury history, and size - I really think Smith drops to the middle somewhere, cuz teams will fall in love with “potential” in a bigger guy, like Tremaine.

I can get with those picks. Especially in those orders. Nut what would your second round look like depending on who u drafted??

Really like that cluster. I feel confident that only Edmunds or Payne will be there at 17, though, at this point.

If Hurst or Derwin James happen to fall to 17, with Mayfield is there too, and Telesco gets a call from Buffalo about trading with us - #17 for #21 and #22 to land their coveted QB, and we would then lose out on Hurst or James, what would you do? I would think we would have to make the trade.

I should have.been more detailed with that supposition. I was thinking that the call from Buffalo comes when we're on the clock at 17.
