My sources are numerous NFL scouts at the Senior Bowl.

    Hodge is no Mack.

BTW. I was asked for my opinion.

Nobody will like my mock either...It's cool.
We do not play modern football.

some of us would "like" to see it.... looking forward mi amigo,

and if I'm following along @home, you've got an LB early, an OT and IOL not long after that, and w/an IDL in the mid rounds somewhere, and.... your edge/Brailford round five, and....

you're currently stymied @six.... (guessin' you round things out w/a wideout and QB ?)

RT Taliese Fuaga, DT Jer'Zhan Newton, NT T'Vondre Sweat, LB Cedric Gray, TE Ben Sinnott, RB Daijun Edwards, FS Cole Bishop, QB Joe Milton

Not the same kind of athlete as his namesake.

If Hodge is a favorite prospect of yours and cat's, that is fine. Your scout's eyes and takes are always appreciated.

As previously stated, I have struggled to find a mid round MIKE in this draft that I like. It will be a trade off in my eyes.

Pat Kirwan and others stated that, in Mobile, Khalil Hodge looked slow and appeared to weigh about 260#.

To get real, we need a MIKE, bad. Perryman is injury prone and probably expensive. The only actual NFL MIKE in this draft is Devin White.

jamrock, I hope you don't feel that I am being condescending or insulting. My unique football takes are presented in a straightforward manner. Carry on Sir.

Upon further review, I would like Hollins or Brailford if they drop to @166. I project an undersized MIKE, proficient in some areas @130. We will need someone to help at MIKE in run defense so we don't get boat raced by power running offenses etc.

Wud, it all comes down to how TT & the Bolts evaluate their board. One of the knocks on Desmond King was that he was slow, and he dropped in the draft like a rock until we gleefully scooped him up in round 5. And all King did was win the Jim Thorpe award for best DB in the country. All Khalil Hodge did was come in SECOND IN THE NATION with 153 total tackles...if Hodge is a bit heavy, actually, isn't that a good thing? He'll be at least a partial deterrent to any 22 personnel opposing teams might throw at us...

Also, Mack is being projected as a first rounder; Hodge is considered a 2-3 rounder...

I would consider Hodge in round 6, maybe.

So we disagree, you, me and jamrock.

As mentioned, per the professionals, Hodge showed up overweight and unathletic in Mobil, at this very important job interview.

He can "lean up" for the Combine, as also referenced.

I question whether or not the athleticism is there for the demanding position of MIKE, and do not put such emphasis on Hodge's production, derived at the given level of competition.
