day two guessin' again that Rypien is a Donk, Grier a Fin, and Thorsen a Pat (don't sleep on Jarrett or he could be in NE before Carson).

and won't be surprised if the more desirable OTs/DTs are off the board by 28 ??

Most of that sounds pretty reasonable. Hope there are some good DT's at 28 because that is what I would love to see us get. Also wouldn't be surprised to see the Cowboys go after Rypien for a back up role. They tend to like the BSU players.

I hope we don't use a 1st round pick on a QB. That isn't going to be the way to get us over the playoff hump.

I don't even really like Stidham and he will be a backup in the NFL and isn't worth a first round pick. We do need a better backup than Geno but not before the 4th in this draft and certainly not in the first. That would be a horrible pick for us. 2020 is the earliest we should pick a QB in the first since they are extending Rivers.

There are still vets out there to be had better than Geno.
We still have other pieces that are a much bigger need than a backup QB to go further in the playoffs.

also QB is the last thing the Raiders need. They stink everywhere else. WR especially.

I absolutely agree we need a MLB and FS. And that 3 down MLB with coverage skills is particularly hard to find. But our OT situation is worse than either of those positions IMO and OT is a higher value position than either of those.

And I'd be pretty happy if we took Risner like your mock suggests.
