TT has seemed to throw darts at positions, not the best way. I actually liked the Pipkins pick, cuz if it works out you get a solid starter at a tough spot to get one unless you drop a 1st. And even then like with every position, no guarantees.

Patsies have been drafting in the bottom third of the first round for like a decade. If they didn't trade out of the first round in the current year for next year they would never draft inside the top 15. For them it makes sense to move down to the second round of the current year for an additional second rounder and get a solid chance at a higher draft pick next year. We're drafting at six this year so moving down means we have to get at least a second rounder this year or first rounder next year and that's just to move down 5 to 6 spots. Any move down more would require even more draft picks.

I like what you did to get our QB for the next decade and beyond......

I assume(if im TT) that i will add at least 2 OL starters in FA ...... a RT(to protect Tua's back side).....and an OG........
I know the top OL that will be taken in first round should be good players, but Im scared of the OL past the first round with a draft loaded with great WR's and RB's and some pretty good TE's.....i think one or 2 of the OL picks you made might be better used on some offensive skill people at RB, WR, TE depending on whose available.... I think Tua is the type of QB who sees the field and will spred the ball around so the more playmakers we have the better he will be and the more points we will score..... and Chargers lack skill players, especially speed......This is an offensive draft which is ideal to rebuild our anemic slow offense.....

Problem with waiting, you can also end up passing on the top of the tier guy, then a round later you get a guy in that tier supposedly, then you have to redraft that position the next year.

I’m all for drafting top of the tier, every chance we can get. More bodies do not make up for talent. See a lot of TT’s drafts.

totally agree..... (to save money)we stupidly traded away future HOF safety polomalu for 2 iffy "cheaper" DB prospects who never really did anything in NFL........ Elite players can make up for not have ing great players at other positions because they make everyone better...... Bosa makes others better..... James makes others better.....

We all know that because the Chargers no longer have an elite QB(sorry Tyrod), they must draft one at 6 or trade up to get one or this will be a wasted draft...... if we fail to get a great QB in this draft that actually has 2 elite QB's available, it will be years before another opportunity to acquire an elite QB...... even Pat Kirwin thinks Chargers need to use FA to fix OL and then draft our franchise QB......

This is NOT the Mariotta/Winston draft.... anyone who watched them play knew both of those guys were NOT elite....... they were never consistently accurate in college..... which means they will never be consistently accurate in the pros..... if Burrow and Tua were like them, I would draft the best defensive player this year and pray we still suck enough next year to draft a great QB....if one is available?........

Accepted a few trade downs and traded up once myself. Not Telesco's style but i didnt try to trade up for a QB, wanted to see where they would fall and i lost out on the top 3 as usual,... and Thomas was gone too.
Im not overly fond of Fromm but decided to change it up....and Eason went just before him, though thinking neither are a Lynn type.
