I'll tell you up front, I'm a Simmons guy, but in all 10 mocks, he went to the Giants at #4. There was some randomization of the other players, but not Simmons. In fact, Tua didn't become available at pick 6 until Mock #8 while Okudah became available as early as Mock #3.

So I put together five mock possibilities with 35 different players. I have what I think will happen listed first (which I will add to the draft guessing game thread), a Simmons mock, a Herbert Mock, a Tua mock, an Okudah mock, and then the other players that I chose listed at the end. Here's what they look like...

    My prediction
    1) Tristian Wirfs, OT - Iowa
    2) Jalen Hurts, QB - Oklahoma
    3) Cam Akers, RB - Florida St.
    4) Devin Asiasi, TE - UCLA
    5) Devin Duvernay, WR - Texas
    6) Cameron Clark, OG - Charlotte
    7) John Hightower, WR - Boise St.

    Simmons mock
    1) Isaiah Simmons, LB - Clemson
    2) Jonathan Taylor, RB - Wisconsin
    3) Donovan Peoples-Jones, WR - Michigan
    4) Albert Okwuegbunam, TE - Missouri
    5) James Morgan, QB - Florida Intl.
    6) Keith Ismael, OC - San Diego St.
    7) joe Reed, WR - Virginia

    Herbert mock
    1) Justin Herbert, QB - Oregon
    2) Jalen Reagor, WR - TCU
    3) Lucas Niang, OT - TCU
    4) Bryan Edwards, WR - S. Carolina
    5) A.J. Dillon, RB - Boston College
    6) Javaris Davis, CB - Auburn
    7) Charlie Taumoepeau, TE - Portland St.

    Okudah mock
    1) Jeffrey Okudah, CB - Ohio St.
    2) J.K. Dobbins, RB - Ohio St.
    3) Tee Higgins, WR - Clemson
    4) Jake Fromm, QB - Georgia
    5) Ben Bredeson, OG - Michigan
    6) Alex Taylor, OT - S. Carolina St.
    7) Jauan Jennings, WR - Tennessee

    Tua mock
    1) Tua Tagovailoa, QB - Alabama
    2) Yetur Gross-Matos, EDGE - Penn St.
    3) Chase Claypool, WR - Notre Dame
    4) Anthony McFarland, RB - Maryland
    5) McTelvin Akim, DL - Arkansas
    6) Antonio Gandy-Golden, WR - Liberty
    7) Jon Runyan, OG - Michigan

Other players that were available that I could see happening (taken from the other mocks)
    1) One of the other big three OT (Beckton, Thomas, Wills) or Derrick Brown
    2) Jordan Love, D'Andre Swift, Grant Delpit, Austin Jackson
    3) Matt Hennessey or Jalen Hurts
    4) Darnell Mooney or Ben Bartch
    5) James Proche, James Morgan, Leki Fotu, or Lamical Perine
    6) Quintez Cephus, Dalton Keene, or Justin Herron
    7) Charlie Heck, Stephen Sullivan, or Michael Warren

A lot to digest, I know. But it was fun. It'll be interesting to see if any of these guys actually end up being drafted by the Chargers.
    Wow....I think I had a mock draftgasm....

    I think I need a nap....
    Adopted Bolt: Kimani Vidal RB

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

      what to do...

Take the wait until rd 3, 4, 5 and get one of these talented prospects and hope he comes along quickly and can help during 2020 season.
      or
Take the lets get this upgraded now in Rd1 with a player who is NFL ready to go for 120 targets next season. Makes Tyrod game manager life a lot easier if TT add a player that is getting open a moment after the ball is snapped.
It's worse than I thought. After this season the top ten averages for WR's should be around $18 million next year for williams option year. That means we are in desperate need of receivers this draft. I see at least two receivers being drafted and at least 1 running back unless a trade is done (fournette). There is going to be a run on receivers starting around pick 10 or maybe 6 with the chargers. There are 3 start tomorrow receivers who are really good at contested catches and then the rest.

        I believe Woods source.

        Its going to be Lamb.

It makes perfect sense in the mind of Telesco.

I've had to edit my mock to add this guy because I believe in adding a pass rusher every year and this guy has unbelievable legs as shown by his 94.3 SPARQ score. OK, he's a trainee, but that's what 7th rounders are for. You can't teack legs.

I've removed Leki Fotu because I now believe some 3-4 team will want him earlier.

          Draft Projection Rounds 6-7
          NFL Comparison Trevon Young

          Overview

Toohill's a tricky projection based upon his issues stopping the run, but he has great flashes as a pass rusher. His body type may not be fully finished and additional play strength would be crucial considering his inability to anchor and shed against run blocks. His rush is much less effective against stronger tackles, but he's a decent athlete and hints at rush skill that has room for development. He's currently caught between a 3-4 OLB and 4-3 DE. If he can become bigger, stronger and more polished as a rusher, he might make sense as a backup edge with sub-package talent as a wide-9 technique.

          Strengths
          • Possesses NFL frame ready to take on additional muscle mass
          • Posted 11.5 tackles for loss and eight sacks in first year as full-time starter
          • Length to overtake stutter-stepping runners from backside
          • Fluid and athletic when playing downhill
          • Upfield rush bolstered by snap quickness
          • Active hands work to displace punch and attack resets
          • Bend and agility to bend the top of the rush
          • Pass rush has a second gear to close
          • Lays the lumber into quarterbacks every shot he gets
          • Has two career blocked extra points
          Weaknesses
          • Doesn't use hands to take charge at point of attack
          • Unable to anchor down and hold the edge
          • Struggles to come unglued from blocks
          • Sputters to recover once he's behind during engagements
          • Leggy and lethargic with lateral slides to close down gaps
          • Doesn't hit speed to conversion effectively as rusher
          • Rush counters are telegraphed
          • Redirect blocks tap his brakes when attacking the edge
          • Not athletic enough for spot drops in coverage

            Casey Toohill, EDGE, Stanford

It's not enough to say that Casey Toohill is a poor man's Zack Baun; he's a destitute man's Zack Baun but that's still a quality player to have on a depth chart because of the various roles he can fill. Toohill was on-ball more than Baun was but does have good examples of buzzing the flats or sinking underneath curls from both on- and off-ball alignments.

Toohill is a better pass-rusher than expected at first glance; he doesn't have a great length or strength profile but uses his hands well to soften the edge and has good explosiveness up the arc to force quarterbacks off their spot and into the teeth of the pocket. He wouldn't be a high sack player even in a starting role but will serve well as a gadget pass-rush/blitzer on late downs who can still drop in coverage and deny a hot route.

Toohill reminds me of Peter Kalambayi — another Stanford outside linebacker with coverage drop ability — and projects as an early special teamer who will deservedly hang out at the bottom of the roster.

After watching our scrub WRs last season getting zero separation when they played, really hurting the O, yeah I’m okay adding top talent to the two guys plus scrubby scrubs behind them. Lamb at 6, okey doke.

Thanks for posting - based on this -- the only player at 6 that Telesco MIGHT pick Tua over is Wirfs as he ranked 6. So you might be taking your franchise QB ranked 7 and only passing Wirfs at 6 and Jeudy at 5. I am okay with that I guess. But if both Simmons or OKudah are on the board with Tua &/or Herbert - you are giving the league a gift by not taking your 3rd or 4th ranked player

Now, maybe you trade back 14 or 16 with the Falcons and Bucs and get your Love or Herbert there if you really want QB. But you don't trade up to 3 for Tua. He is ranked 7 so not only are you giving up draft capital you are passing on BETTER players.

So, if this board is truly Tommy T's top 15 - they only get Tua if Burrows, Young, Okudah, Simmons are ALL off the board - but that still means passing on higher players in Jeudy and Wirfs; or they trae back and get Herbert or Love in the mid teens where they are ranked.

If this list is accurate - to me the picks are Okudah or Simmons or a trade back.
