and if indeed that is the scenario that plays out, wouldn't be the end of the world w/Cedarian, and.... don't get the logic in not fortifying the Lines first ??
I'm not saying I agree with their assessment. This is me reading their minds. I'm on record saying that if we're going into this season with Tyrod & Stick, I may not even bother watching.

And for the record, I have us picking a left tackle in the 3rd in my mock.

so you're gonna double up on developmental tackles, and let a likely ten year vet roll right by you @6, w/no tellin' when you might see another one ??

my thought is that Pip ain't gonna be ready for another year or coupla few, Wanogho could take a couple as well.... why not get the solid option @RT w/Wirfs, that can develop behind Pip, Lamp and Bulaga, and for if and when one of those ain't cuttin' the mustard or goes down w/an injury, we have a rock solid replacement for them waiting in the wings, and.... let the football gods decide when he's ready to contribute, albeit dude is good and ready to go, plug 'n play right now, day one.
QB Trey Lance, OG Trey Smith, Deonte Brown, 3T Jay Tufele, NT Tyler Shelvin, Tuli Letligasenoa, SS Hamsah Nasirildeen, CB Eric Stokes, ILB Palaei Gaoteote IV, Dylan Moses, RB Kylin Hill, DE LaBryan Ray, WIL Merlin Robertson, Zane Zandier, RT Daniel Faalele, LB Kuony Deng, TE Cade Otton, OT Syrus Tuitele, OC Ryan McCollum, WR Brandon Smith

After the post-season moves already made on the OL, I just do not see TT using our pick at #6 on OL as well.

Based on past history, I’d almost guarantee he won’t.

        • Throughout the evaluation process, offensive linemen
          Jedrick Wills Jr.
          (Alabama) and
          Mekhi Becton
(Louisville) have been highly touted, and
          Tristan Wirfs
has been connected to the Giants at No. 4. Still, there’s buzz that Georgia’s
          Andrew Thomas
could wind up as the first offensive tackle selected, Miller hears. Some may prefer the upside of Wills and Becton or the four-position potential of Wirfs, but Thomas may be the most NFL-ready of the bunch. Of course, with limited OTAs on the horizon, teams have even less time to teach rookies.

            • The Simmons bandwagon is gaining momentum! Now it just needs to plough into TT's living room!

              • I like Simmons, but not over Tua. If a franchise QB is there, you take him.

For the record, Herbert and Love are not QBs worth a 1st round pick. My preference is Tua in the 1st, Hurts in the 3rd, or someone like Cole McDonald or Jake Luton in the 6th or 7th.

                • I vote Tua. Take the QB who can be a true special talent.

I’ll be happy if we end up with Simmons, Okudah, or Brown.

I don’t have a good read on the four OTs, but if we land a franchise OT at 6, that’s also a win.
