Texas A&M Aggies offensive tackle Cedric Ogbuehi will have surgery Friday for a torn ACL and will not compete in the Senior Bowl, sources said Monday.

Before the injury, Ogbuehi was projected as a mid-to-late first round pick by ESPN's Todd McShay.

It's unknown if Ogbuehi will miss the 2015 season.

Ogbuehi suffered the torn ACL in Texas A&M's Liberty Bowl win against West Virginia.

OT, but I kind of like this playoff... the #4 seed winning it all made it more exciting than just the two computer selected teams.

Not happy about that, he was definitely on my short list at 17. Will he make it to the mid second?
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
        Let’s win one for Mack.

I don't know what the future holds for him, but what a three game run by that guy. He is a load, and refuses to be tackled. I texted my bro-in-law last night (who was working and couldn't watch) Any down and short.. forget about stopping them..

I'm paraphrasing a bit here, but I was listening to radio before the game, and Urban Meyer said Jones had essentially won the #1 job in the spring, but lost it in the fall due to general laziness and immaturity(Not his verbage, but that was the gist) But, he had a baby girl during the season and the lights went on.. he very quickly matured and just changed as a person.

If that's true, he'd be an interesting developmental QB; or, maybe he could be converted to TE or something. But he's clearly got talent. Its his nickel and dime head that has held him back. (He apparently tweeted out a few years ago that football players shouldn't have to go to class, if they're there to play football)

I'm not sure what else he can do at the college level, not even sure he is a lock to be the starter for Ohio State next year....now that he's starting a family he may want to go pro....that has got to be one of the greatest three game stretches by a QB in NCAA history

I heard the comparison for Candale Jones as a "Kaepernick" type. He probably doesn't have enough experience to read NFL D's, so he would be a project in that respect. He definitely has the arm strength, and may be accurate enough, but can he anticipate guy being "open" in the NFL sense. Someone with an established QB could groom him, but he can also be the next Terrell Pryor.

Urban Meyer in his press conference says "This is a line of scrimmage league. We win on the offensive and defensive lines."

                  I like that.

He seemed to have a calm presence in the pocket....he looked like a "throw first" type of QB to me. It was hilarious watching Oregon try to bring him down by the shoulders.

Big backs will be all the rage soon. Lacy, Hill, Murray and Bell etc. Ive been saying for years you win with the running game. After this season im banging the run game hammer more than i ever have. OL, RB and pass rush.

That's kind of why I thought he could be converted. He's a project no matter what, but I think becoming an NFL QB would be very hard to impossible.
