Bud Black thing and it drives me nuts too. I could understand it in years past when he didn't have much to work with, but he's got a pretty solid lineup now. I don't really understand it, probably way too reliant on metrics.

I've never heard walkoff until about 5-10 years ago, and like I said it started exclusively with home run only. Where did you hear it first Sec? I first heard it in ESPN, then shortly thereafter I started hearing it on local sports news and then the Padres games themselves (right around the time Matt Vasgergian was doubt Padres games on TVs). Never, ever heard Jerry/Ted use it during the 80s or 90s.

I am shocked that after 23 games that a team with this much talent and very few injuries has a losing record. I'm guessing it won't take many more losses before people start calling for Black to be fired.

We're sucking. Good thing there are 162 games.
Even we end up a loser this year, I'm glad we have an owner who gives a hoot about the team. It was hard rooting for a team that the owners didn't even care about. That's why I dipped out for a years. I guess I'm sort of fair weather - sort of, not really.
