As I'm writing this, Yonder Alonso is 3 for 3, the Padres have 7 runs, and Kennedy was pitching well until right now. My guess is Black leaves him in until the Mets make this a game.

Brandon Morrow was pitching well before he went on the DL. He had a rehab assignment today. They said one more and he should be ready to come back.

Question is who does he replace? Kennedy who was scuffling before tonight or Despagne who started poorly but had hit his stride as of late.

i read some. Several seemed a little over the top.

I think the team is underperforming. I don't see Black doing anything to alter the equation and he may, in fact, be hindering things. I'd give him the season.
