Now we're two below. Pretty good beer. Not really good baseball.

I'm going to stick with the team even if we end up 30 games out in July. This is because we have an ownership that, at least, appears to really want to win.
I gave up on the team for a few years before because I felt like I cared more about winning than the owners did. Glad we have people who care now.

      Agree, it's refreshing.

That being said....still a ton of baseball left to be played.

Myers has sort of been revealed as the straw that stirs the drink.

        Not digging Black's lineups.

Pitching's been weak, too. Despaigne not showing much in long form.

I really thought this would be the year for Black to show us that he is a good manager. I thought he did a decent job with marginal talent for years. Now that he has talent, well, I see no difference in the play of the team. It's not time to fire him - yet. But I wonder how patient ownership will be if we hit the All Star break and this team is still playing like it is now.

I'm sorry, but Matt Kemp leading off? Get that shit outta here.

I missed that game. Did one of Black's lineups have Kemp at leadoff?

It's lose, lose, lose, Win, lose, win, lose, lose, win, lose, win

It feels like individual play going on and there's no Team vibe going on yet. You can tell they have no confidence and are just going through the motions.

I know everybody loves Buddy Black but at what point do you say that his way of coaching isn't working out for this team ? Maybe they need a coach who isn't as nice and they need a different style to help them succeed. I think Dave Roberts could provide the Padres with a Moral boost and a diffenert style of Coaching to accommodate the talent of this Squad. Black is stuck on what worked with the Angels of the early 2000's

Looks like shaking up the line-up every single day is finally paying off for us. One hit tonight. Three runs total in the last four games.

The Padres record is 20-24. Last season after 44 games it was 21-23...

Two key injuries changes everything, not to mention the pitching has quite frankly sucked.

This isnt on BB, IMO. The coach/manager can't make a pitcher make a pitch in a tough situation and there is nothing he can do when ur leadoff and 5 hitter are in the DL. Look at our record since those two were injured.

Our runs were tops in the NLA and our pitching was sub par, but we were holding our own record wise facing a tough schedule.
