    2. 2013 was good to California: http://www.cepr.net/index.php/blogs/...e-minimum-wage Damn liberals destroyed the economy when they increased the minimum wage.
    3. http://www.sacbee.com/opinion/califo...le2604184.html Damn. Tax increases, job creation? WTF??!!

California is home to 12 percent of Americans, but last year it accounted for 17.5 percent of new jobs, Bureau of Labor Statistics data shows. WHAA??? NO WAY!
    Prediction:
    Correct: Chargers CI fails miserably.
Fail: Team stays in San Diego until their lease runs out in 2020. (without getting new deal done by then) .
Sig Bet WIN: The Chargers will file for relocation on January 15.

Great! What does that have to do with wat you quoted? Taxes causes deficits? And lowering taxes reduces revenue? How does collecting taxes lead to debt?

I think I was saying the opposite and mistook your response as sarchasm.

Since this is getting away from a football discussion, you guys should probably take it to the End Zone forum if you want to keep arguing politics.

The Qualcomm stadium that the public funded in the 60's would cost 200 million dollars in today's dollars. (27 million bond * 7.4 = $200 million today). The current proposed stadium is five to seven times that amount. That's the problem. Nobody would question building a $200 million dollar stadium today.

Where did this factor of 7.4 come from? See below:

Not arguing politics at all, but rather, the idea that revenues (taxes in this discussion) are somehow the cause of deficits, with no regard to spending. The politics of Microsoft, Amazon and the Spanos clan cannot be more different, and I have no problem with any of them.

I'm enjoying the political debate, but I think it's going to go to a bad place. I tried arguing this once and it wasn't going any place good. Politics piss people off and turn us into New Yorkers stuck in L.A. traffic with Bill O'Reilly and a couple Raiders fans.

The mayor is going to get my vote again. Projected budget surplus is the key figure of merit for me. We need to pay for our budget deficit "sins" over the past... errr... well ever since I've been alive.

In any case, there's several posts about why it's not 1966 spread in-between the "county folk are morons" posts I've made.
