Rivers tossed his 400th TD today.

Losing by 4 points, that ended up being huge.

Its a good thing the special teams coach is tight with the head coach. He'll harp on the 1 interception Herbert threw.
Square is garbage. Lynn and Bradley haven't learned that.

AL will point to the 3 first half turnovers that put us in a deep hole against a team we should have beat without those mistakes.

I’ll say it again for all those that refuse to see that turnovers decide games.
We commit them on O and get none on D. Recipe for losing!

I don't know if 9 wins is tops, but I think they can win nine. Not having Mike Williams really hurt the deep passing game, as there are not experienced WRs who are deep threats. Reed is barely on the field and Guyton is still an inexperienced player.

I thought 8 or 9 games was our ceiling with everyone healthy. Seeing as we are already wiped out on the O line and the D, this is looking like a 5 or 6 win season - especially when Taylor is inserted back as our starting QB. The turnovers will go down and so will the offensive production.

Herbert looked good, but he's a rook. I think this team has a shot at .500.

                True.

Maybe we do play modern football.

You have to be a fan for 30-40 years to understand our pain and reason for the glass being half empty.
I would however be rejuvenated and fired up with new ownership.

If Taylor starts next week is that a reason for doom and gloom?

The O-line penalized for hands to the face, twice...Pipkins jumping too soon on the last drive with no stadium noise. Very amateur-ish, undisciplined. 8 penalties, some leading to score. Numerous dropped passes. Not much pressure on their QB. Lousy pass coverage. 4 turnovers. Home game. Ridiculous.

I believe they will as well.
Just not today. Today they took some lumps and had some moments.

I said it in another thread.......”Cheers and cringes.“
