Yet the Colts are still in it due to their defense. Defenses have taken over this game.
The defense choked the game away as Rivers was in the process of bringing the Colts back from 17 down, overcoming his own pick 6, some awful officiating, his own inept play caller (Reich/Siriani), and terrible pass protection due to the injury to Castonzo (almost pressured on every attempt). All they needed was a stop and instead, they not only gave up two first downs by the run in known running situations, but also gave up so many yards as to allow a FG. That was an absolute choke in the clutch by the defense.

I'm a big PR fan. No excuses this year.
He has a very good oline & a stout defense.
His playmakers are sub par; but that's the trade off - you can't have gold all around you.
I watched the Colts game. The Colts defense was awful the first half and had a 2 to 1 TOP ratio. Second half they played a lot better.
Rivers was under a lot of pressure the whole game. During the 4th quaryer, the announcers said 50% of his dropbacks he was under pressure at one point with 18 dropbacks , there were 15 hurries a sack and he been hit 5 times.
However, those 2 INTs were his fault. Bad decisions. The intentional grounding he was under pressure again and threw where no WR was.
Perhaps the WR ran the wrong route or not, don't know. He ran a post instead of a corner route.
In any case, I have to say the Browns may be for real this year.
One thing to note ,the Colts RT left the game early.

Called it as I saw it. He was under pressure a lot but those INTs were bad decisions.
I've seen some terrible calls by refs in two games. A roughing the passer call was just a bad, stupid call in the Chiefs/Raiders game.
The late holding call on the Colts was a terrible call on screen play.
