Why this hate for ingram? Is he some kind of problem child or something? That is just another players shoes we're gonna have to fill in my opinion and those shoes are fairly large.

Same. Uchenna isn't Ingram. Why the rush to part with the one player who enables Bosa to play at a higher level?

He doesn't produce! I don't hate em but when you don't produce for what you are paid it's time to go.
Nwosu is on pace to having a typical Mel type season, is way cheaper and yes I still want to draft another.

Mel hasn't played to his draft slot or contract. He is a FA after this season and I don't want to give him any more millions to be invisible. He is on the wrong side of 30 as well.
He doesn't make Bosa better. Bosa produces with or without him while Ingram doesn't with Bosa. Bosa is just banged up right now.
Ingram missed 3 games last year and Bosa had 3 of his 11.5 sacks without him.
Bosa had 31 QB hits last year, Ingram had 12.

You want to pay him 30 million for three more years? I don't, that's still to high for me. Time to draft another pass rusher.....like at least 2 years ago for when we don't bring him back and to rotate some fresh legs so we can get some damn pressure.

Hec I hardly notice him in the games. Didn't notice him at all at Cinci til Burrow made a rookie mistake and Mel got the INT.

I've been over this time and time again.

I think I’m closer to jolt on this one
The value isn’t there unless he can bring his asking price way down.
if anything I don’t get why everyone is so down on Nwosu, I see him putting pressure often, not only qbs but ball carriers and if you changed his number to 54 I can’t say I’d tell the difference
whenever the whole defense is playing poorly, I try not to nit pick one guy, I just figure it’s a systemic issue
but the few snaps ingram has taken this year, he looks somewhat pedestrian.
I suspect he’s gained some of his natural weight back.

we should be drafting a passrusher every year ideally

Congrats for finding a 4 min video of his highlights for an entire season lol.

He doesn't produce Near enough for what he makes.
In his 9th season Mel has 49 sacks and 103 QB hits and 70 tackles for loss..

In his 5th season Bosa has 44 and 92 and 59.

Not fair to compare him to Bosa who makes a lot more?

Shaun Phillips 9 seasons in SD had 69.5 sacks, 80 QB hits (2 seasons 2004 & 2005 didn't record any must not have been a stat then)while he had 11 sacks in that time and he had 80 TFL.

Mel making 14.5 million this year.
If we lose Sunday, trade him!

Yes, it's like you can't have too many good CBs. We need to get some pressure too.

While I agree with you. I'm off the Ingram train. He's had his moments but to be honest he has been subpar for a #1 draft pick.

Trade him? Nah. No market. You going to get something like maybe 5th at for him. Or player for player. It would take some amazing salesmanship to get a decent trade for him. Play the season with him and let him become a FA. Sign a Vet or go for another Bosa 2.0 pick in the 1st. .

TFW you realize even if we beat the Jags this Sunday we're still only 2-4. These early losses really hurt our chances to compete later in the season. Following the Jaguars our remaining schedule looks more intimidating now then when the season started. Broncos defense is really good even with all the injuries and the Raiders look like a wildcard team. Dolphins with Tua will surely be better on offense than Fitz.

I'd rather keep Ingram vs. these clunky olinemen we keep paying that NEVER show up after we pay them. Ingram is asked to do a lot more like dropping back and tipping passes and such. When he's he's not in the line-up it's felt. I would not pay him $14.5 but I sure as hell would pay him $10 mil for what he does bring.
