Fun to watch that one!

Something to like about our offense - look how many of our best players on offense are rookies or 2nd year guys - the future looks pretty good if they ever figure out the OL.

Living near Atlanta I found it interesting that Arthur Blank did not fire Quinn as they began their bye week. I thought as transitions go it was the perfect time. But it turned out that Blank was simply giving Quinn that proverbial "last chance". When the Falcons laid a dirty turd that first game back both he and the GM were gone.

Interesting scenario for Lynn this week. They have a weak opponent coming off the bye so I wonder if this is his last chance??? Blow it late or lose big to the Jags and maybe it's syonara Anthony??? Or Gus???

Food for thought.

How does firing a head coach in mid season help a team? It just scares off most coaching candidates in January.

Occasionally lightning strikes and you get Don Coryell.

It doesn’t help the team. But it sends a message. They had 2 weeks to prepare against a one win team. This isn’t a HOF QB they are facing. No more damn excuses.

With three touchdown passes against the Jaguars, Herbert would become only the second rookie in NFL history to throw at least three touchdown passes in three consecutive games along with Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, who managed it in four straight games in his first season in the league.

The former Oregon star also ranks in the top-10 in completion percentage and adjusted net yards per pass attempt—a key metric which quantifies the contributions of a quarterbacks passing game by including five key passing statistics.

I usually don’t care about this stuff but it’s fascinating when it’s OUR QB!!

If the Chargers had won 2-3 of Herbert's starts, I wouldn't post this probably. It's just a way to stay positive about Herbert's future until the wins start coming.

We should be able to beat the Jags. If we dont, it dont look good for the rest of the season and time to cut bait and stock up our draft selections starting with Ingram.
